3. a skype call

Okay, I don't live in America so I don't know how the school system is and I find it really hard to understand trough google. So I'll just make up some dates for school holidays.

Duffs pov:

I help my mother with the dishes before I go to my room.

Izzy: you wanna skype rn?

Duff: yeah one moment

I throw my phone on my bed and get my laptop. I sit down on my bed with my laptop infront of me.

I open skype.

The call is loading.

"Hey Duff!" Izzy says.

I see Axl walking in the background with a bag of candy.

"Hey guys!" I say.

"How is LA?" Axl says as he sits down.

"It's nice. I went to the beach with someone today." I say.

"Nice. What did you do?" Izzy asks.

"There was a fun fair. And the beach looked really nice." I say.

"And how are the girls in LA?" Axl asks with a smirk.

I laugh.
"I haven't seen any hookers yet. But I bet of I went to the boulevard I would see some." I say.

"So you haven't seen anyone who you like yet?" Izzy asks.

I look at my window.
"Nah." I say.

"Really? You say no but your eyes say yes." Izzy says.

"Since when do you know something about love Isbell?" I ask with a laugh.

"Hey! I'm the only one of us three who has a girlfriend. I'm better with love than you two." Izzy says laughing.

"Yeah right." Axl says and pushes him softly while laughing.

I laugh too.
"How are things in Lafayette?" I ask.

"Same old." Izzy says.

"School is already boring." Axl says.

"It just started." I say.

"Yeah. I know. I hate that place." Axl says.

"We Should meet each other again!" Izzy says.

"When? School has just started." I say.
I would love to see them again. We did meet once two years ago when they went on a vacation in seattle.
It was fucking amazing.

We've known each other for almost 4 years now.

"The next break is in two months. We can meet then." Izzy says.

"If we can stay at your place we don't have to worry about that." Axl says.

"And how will you get here?" I say.

"It only a three hour flight. And we all have safed some money for an occasion like this." Izzy says.

"Your mom can pick us up from the airport." Axl says.

"Are you two old enough to fly alone yet?" I ask.

"Yes. We're both eightteen we can legally fly alone." Izzy says.

"I can ask my mom if it's alright. Have you two aksed your parents?" I ask.

"No. Not yet. We will ask them and then we'll tell you." Axl says.

We end up talking till 1am. It is 4am for Axl and Izzy.

I close my laptop and put it away.

I walk to my window.
I see a light on in Stevens house.

I close my window and throw my clothes on the ground.

I get under my blanket and open instagram.

After some time I close it and set an alarm.

I put my phone away and close my eyes.

I turn around and lie on my back. I stare at my seilling.

'how would people react? Do I have to come out first? Am I even in love?' I think.

What if I confess to Steven and he doesn't like me back? What if it will ruin our friendship?

I rather be friends with him and hide my feelings than tell him and ruin our friendship.

I close my eyes again and try to sleep.

After some minutes when I almost fell asleep I open my eyes.

I forgot to set an alarm for tomorow.

It is almost 3am. Axl and Izzy wil probably get up soon to go to school.

Fuck. That means I only have like three hours of sleep before I need to get up.

Is it worth it to fall asleep?

I get up and walk to my window.

All the ligths are out in Stevens house.

I walk to the bathroom and get a glass of water.

I walk back to my room and open my phone.

I check if I had set an alarm. I did.

I close my phone and drink my water.

I lie back down and try to sleep.

I wake up from my alarm. I turn it off and grab some clothes.

I'm fucking tired.
I take my bag and walk downstairs.
My mom is already awake.

"Goodmorning dear." she says.

"Goodmorning." I say.

I take some toast and sit down.

"Steven will be here at 7:45 am." I say while eating.

"Then you need to hurry." She says.

It is 7 am. I still have some time but I don't want to rush.

I eat my toast and walk upstairs to brush my theeth. I brush my hair and walk back downstairs.

I sit down on the couch and get my phone.

Axl: halp

I open the chat.

Duff: what's wrong?

Axl: school is so fucking boring
And my crush isn't in this class

Duff: I have to leave in ten minutes

Axl: rip man. Have fun at school
        Get yo aducation

Duff: lol thanks
           You have fun missing your crush

Axl: thanks ;_;

I smile as I close the chat. I'm glad Axl and Izzy are my friends.

I hear a knock on the door.

"That must be Steven. By mom!" I say when I grab my bag from the floor.

I walk torwards the door.

I open it.

"Hey." Steven says and smiles.

"Hey." I say and smile back at him.

His smile is so amazing.
I feel butterflys in my stommach.

We start walking to school.

Steven starts talking. His voice is so nice.

Fuck.
I'm in love.
