Stevens pov:

We walk outside with Shadow.

"I'm glad Pines didn't gave us any homework. She normally gives us homework on the first day." I say.

"Yeah. It looked like she didn't like you." Duff says.

"Oh she hates me." I say.

"Why?" Duff says laughing.

"I dunno. Maybe she doesn't like me breathing." I say laughing.

"I had her last year and we didn't get along. She got mad at me. I didn't do my homework. She got even more mad." I say.

Duff nods.

We walk back and keep talking about teachers we hated.

"My mom is back. She is probably gonna start dinner soon." Duff says.

"Lets get your bag. It's still in my room." I say.

I take Shadows leash off as we're inside.

We walk to my room.

Duffs bag is on the floor.

"I'll see you tomorow." He says.

"Yeah. Same time again?" I say.

"Yeah." Duff says.
We walk to the door.

He takes a step closer to me but immediately looks confused.

"I'll see you tomorow." He says.

"Bye." I say. He crosses the street.

I close the door and walk to Shadow.

He starts licking my face.

When I want to go to my room the phone starts ringing.

"Hello?" I say.

"Hey Steven. I'll be home in 15 minutes. You can order some pizza. I'll be on time home to pay." My mom says.

"Okay." I say.

I end the call and call to order pizzas.

Half an hour later the pizzas arrive.

My mom pays and I get some plates.

"How was school?" she asks me as we start eating.

"It turns out we have Pines instead of Smith." I say.

"Maybe if you try to participate more she would be nicer to you." My mom says.

"Maybe." I say and sigh.

Duffs pov:

~2 months later~

Axl and Izzy will arrive tomorow! I'm so excited.

Steven wants to meet them too. I've told him about them.

I still like him.

I can only see Axl and Izzy for a week before they have to go back.

Steven: hey! Maybe we can go to the beach today ;)

I look at the message. He has send a winking emoji!! What does this mean!? He wants to see me?

Duff: yeah sure
           When?

Should I send an emoji? No don't do that.

Steven: I can be at your house in ten minutes

He wants to see me!
Okay play it cool Duff.

Duff: okay :)

Was that emoji right? What if he thinks I like him?
