You widened your eyes and froze while holding your phone in your hand, carefully reading the text screened across it. Carly, sitting next to you, realized you tense up and looked over at you . She quickly glanced over the newsletter displayed on your phone.

"WHATTTTTT??!?!?." Carly screamed which made you jump.

Before you uttered another word Carly snatched your phone and stared at it with huge eyes.

You glared at her for scaring you and everyone else in the room before grabbing your phone back. Carly now seemed just as frozen as you were a few seconds ago.

"No need to be such a drama queen." You muttered to her.

"But why would they do tha-"

"To cut costs, it says here." You pointed out at the newsletter on the cracked phone screen.

Carly quieted down as realization set upon her. "We are truly fucked."

"Ahahahahaha." You nervously and sarcastically laughed while stuffing your phone back into your backpack that was lying on the floor. "We are." You agreed.

You and Carly grabbed your coffee and bags and left the small cafe at the nook of your school. It was a popular spot for students to hang out or get a drink.

You two talked while strolling back to Carly's neighborhood. You both made a quick stop to the local convenience store because Carly had some sudden craving for beef jerky. The woman ate so much that you often wondered if she was a dinosaur in her past life.

When going through the aisles you spotted Agnes, your other school friend, and called out to her.

"AGNESSSSSSSS!!!" You yelled in pure joy as a smile plastered your face. Agnes couldn't hangout after school lately because of a babysitting gig she got recently.

Carly turned around and saw you running towards Agnes almost tripping as you did so. She chuckled and joined in on the bear hug.

After hugging it out for a good minute or two, Carly stepped back and spoke up.

"Agnes have you heard about the school thing?"

"What? What school thing?" Responded Agnes while cutely scrunching her nose and clashing her eyebrows together.

You sighed while crossing your arms, "They are merging the brother and sister schools together. The school administrators can't afford to separate us anymore."

At that news Agnes's face fell into a frown. Carly looked down while you just seemed lost in your own thoughts. It was quiet until Agnes spoke up.

"When will they merge the schools?"

"In a week."

"Why so fast?"

"This is bull crap."

The group of three stayed silent again until you quickly grabbed your phone from your pocket as a panicked expression spread across your face.

"What's wrong?" Asked Carly

You quickly scanned the newsletter trying to answer a valuable question that had crossed your mind. When you found it your face fell and it didn't go unnoticed by the other two.

"Jane! What's wro-"

You cut her off and in a whisper you replied, "The new campus is at the boy's school. They are taking down our school for good."

"But whyyy" Carly asked for the second time that day.

"Because it's bigger." Replied Agnes without needing to go further into the matter. She then looked at you for a while before saying in an amused tone "your screwed."

It was true. You were screwed. You had plenty memories regarding the boys' campus. Plenty interesting ones at that. For the sake of the story, I'll tell you that your a very well known student at the boys' and girls' academy.
