Chapter 10: Behind Someone's Mask

It feels so good whenever I sing in front of the crowd. But I enjoy the most when my friends sing along with my music.

This moment is almost perfect.

Ito na siguro ang pinaka-paborito kong sandali kasama ang mga kaibigan ko.

After our jamming, some of us decided to go back in our cottage to rest. Ako naman, piniling manatili sa harap ng bonfire dahil gusto ko pa tumambay dito sa shore.

"Your thoughts are deeper than the ocean, Maserati."

Tumunghay ako at nakita si Regne na nakatingin sa akin habang may hawak na gitara.

"Kung hihintayin mong matupok ng apoy ang lahat ng mga troso, aabutin ka ng umaga d'yan."

"Don't you find this moment good?" I asked.

Regne looked at me and I could see how the fire reflects on the lenses of his eyeglasses.

"It's way better than good."

Kinuha ko kay Regne ang gitara at niyakap ito.

"I thought you won't appreciate this. I never saw you hang out before. Well, aside from when Lucky A's still complete."

Ngumisi si Regne sa akin.

"Akala mo lang 'yon."

"Wala ka namang duty sa SSC ngayon?"

"I have."

"Eh? Bakit sumama ka pa?"

"You invited me, Maserati. Malamang sasama ako."

"That's odd. Never iniwan ni Fake Almighty ang duty niya sa SSC."

"Well, it's also odd if Boss A didn't chose his Omega over everything."

"Ewan ko sa'yo."

Tumawa si Regne sa sinabi ko kaya mahina ko siyang tinadyakan sa binti. After that, both of us fell silent while looking at the bonfire.

Noong nalaman kong iisa lang si Regne at Boss A, halo-halo ang naramdaman ko dahil magkaiba ang turing ko sa kanila. Regne, or what I fond of calling as Fake Almight, was a serious man who's impossible to neglect his studies and determined to serve the Supreme Student Council. Hindi mo ito mabibiro at madalas mong makikita na napaka-perpekto sa lahat ng mga bagay.

Boss A was an opposite of him. The Lucky A's leader, main guitarist and vocal was a person who will risk everything just for the sake of music. He's a passionate person, liberated and free to do everything what he wants.

Even though his two personality differs from each other, they have similarities when it comes to what they care about.

Fake Almighty and Boss A are great leaders.

Sometimes, I wonder what he really is. It's hard to play along with two characters while you hide yourself from everyone.

Tila nalunod na ako sa pag-iisip kung kaya't nagulat ako nang magsalita si Regne.

"Kasing lalim na naman ng dagat ang iniisip mo."

Ngumiti ako kay Regne bago ibalik ang tingin sa bonfire.

Even though I want to ask him about who he really is, I ended up quiet, imagining my thoughts are burned by fire in front of me.

Naramdaman ko ang mga daliri ni Regne na sinuklay ang ilang hibla ng buhok ko sa likod. When he tucked them behind my right ears, I heard him said something.
