Silent Words

There is no way to express yourself truly when speech doesn't allow,

Unless there are poems to paint pictures to show you how.

All those deep feelings and thoughts kept inside,

now with pen on paper they will confide.

With each word unsaid,

is another wound left to mend.

With a paper your feelings you send.

To help to fix problems or even make them end.

You can't edit something you haven't started,

let the empty paper be your canvas.

You can start over without a trace,

 unlike words blurted.

Let out all that had your head in a blur;

Your silent words.
