Nana could've sworn Zane grew progressively more flirty over time. She blamed it on Travis being a bad influence at first, but once they left the island she recognized that he was just genuinely flirtatious with her. It was so unlike him; so much so that Nana didn't believe her ears the first time he used a nickname.
"Hey, Babe?"
She froze, her mind replaying what Zane just said. Nana's face became a bright crimson, her eyes clenching tightly in embarrassment.
"Z-Zane!" She shouted, but to her surprise her boyfriend just stared at her, like it was nothing out of the ordinary.
"What?" He asked, starting to get flustered himself. "What's the big deal?"

Nana glanced around the room in embarrassment. "Well.. it's just Aphmau and Aaron call each other that and-"
Zane cut her off. "I know, I know. They're your ship, right?" He chuckled.
"Well, yeah. But they're also married! We just started dating officially! I thought you said you wanted to go slow.." Her words grew softer, and Zane glanced at his feet.

"Listen, Nana. If you don't want to become closer yet, I respect that. It's just that after all of this chaos at Starlight Wonderland.. I realized how much you mean to me. I'm sorry if this is too quick. You respected me, so I should learn to respect you." Zane said, his eyes meeting his girlfriends. "I just.. well, I.."

Nana cut him off, her eyes glazed over with tears. She smiled, and kissed him on the lips softly. He reciprocated, finding his way to her hips and placing his hands there, pulling away for breath as Nana intertwined her fingers into Zane's hair.
"I know.. I love you too," Nana giggled under her breath, and whispered in his ear. "You're so sappy.. but you mean a lot to me, too. I can catch up with your pace if you're ready to become more.. official then we already are. I love you Zane, I love you so much.."
Zane blushed at the sound of her words, getting more embarrassed by the minute. Nana reached up to kiss him more passionately, and once they were midway into a make-out session, Garroth came home.
"Ohoho! I guess I'll leave you two alone, then!"
"Garroth!"
