Riley's POV

"No Austin you can't let you do that, I can take a hit", I said.

"How long has he been hitting you Riley", he said.

"Maybe about 2 months", I whispered.

"What, why did you tell me", he screamed.

"I'm sorry Austin, I just didn't want you to get hurt", I said crying.

"Ry it's not your fault, plus I would do anything to keep you safe", he said hugging me.

•••after school•••

Austin took me home and came over to keep me company while watching my sister.

"Austin!!", Hannah screamed. I don't know what is but my sister is like in love with Austin.

"Hannah!!", Austin screamed. After Hannah screams Austin screams, I know how this works because Austin comes over a lot and they do this each time.

"You guys are so weird", I said walking up to my room. With Austin following. We're in my room and I close the door.

"Okay are you ready to talk about what happened at lunch", Austin asks.

"Fine, so 2 months ago Billy's mom died and he was so close to his mom. So he takes his pain out on me. Today was not as bad as some", I said

"Riley if he ever hurts you let me know and I can show who he's messing with", he said.

"Okay thanks Austin for understanding your the best", I said smiling at him.

"Yeah I know", he said laughing.

"So um now what", I said looking at him in his hazel eyes.

"We could watch a movie", he said leaning in. Then we kissed. What the heck I'm kissing my best friend. Then I stopped kissing him.

"I should go", he said getting up.

"Okay", I whispered.

Okay, so I kissed my best friend. Why did I do that? The sad part about that is that I loved every second of it. Sparks flew, I had butterflies, and am I going out of my mind. I can't like my best friend more than a friend. It's not okay.
