When I step in the conference room where I've been working these past weeks, Dean's already there, and all he does when I show up, is nodd at me, like I'm a buddy or something similar. So I do the same, and since this is how he chose to react to what happened two days ago, I'll go for the same form of communication.

"Hey, Cupid!" Enrique calls me from the door of the room. "Come here."

"Did I shot the arrow at the right one?" I follow the joke, getting a weirded out Dean to look at us with a frown.

"Seems like you did." He says more quietly as we walk to the file area in our floor, which consists in a few shelves full of boxes with files in them, and two big photocopiers at the bottom of the room. "I mean, I really liked her, I don't know if she feels the same way."

"Oh I know she does." I assure him. And I honestly think I'm right, she was looking at him like he was some collagen machine.

"Ya think?" He says with a smirk. "She told me you were a patient at the center she worked at."

"Uh, yeah. I go sometimes, just to check myself, you know."

"Should I ask her out?" He ignores me completely, which I thank in my mind. "Whatever, I'll do it right now. Thanks, Cupid."

This guy is one of the most confident people I've ever met. He walks these halls like he owns them, like he's not afraid of any eyes that could tear him down. He knows he looks good, he knows he's really cool, he knows he can achieve anything he wants, and he doesn't need to revolve around insecurities or doubts. He just knows how to live his life exactly the way he wants to live it.

"Don't you have to be working on your final piece?" Dean's voice wakes me up from my inspirational speech about my admiration for Enrique, which makes me wanna hide for some unknown reason.

"Babe, I can always make time for you." I hear Rachel's stupid flirty tone.

Stupid flirty tone? Am I like, jealous or what the hell?

"I really have to make these copies, let me-" something interrupts him, and at the mention of the copies, I try to find another place where I can hide 'cause right now I'm behind one of the copiers.

"What the-" Rachel's laugh doesn't even lets him finish cursing.

"Doesn't that remind you of anything?"

"I haven't forgotten, but that doesn't mean I want it to happen again. Sorry."

"Are you serious?" Her flirty tone dries off. "Am I a bad fuck or...?"

"I don't even remember, but it's not that, I just don't feel like fucking you anymore."

"Well auch." She does sound hurt. "Is there someone you properly like now?"

I unconsciously stick my head out a little bit so that I can see his face react to that question, and all I see his Rachel's back turned to me, and Dean lowering his head, and a few seconds later nodding to look back at her.

"To like, get down with her?" She seems really hurt now.

"Get down?" He laughs, "who the fuck says get down now?"

"Well, to fool around, I don't know." She palms her tighs loudly in exasperation.

"Leave me alone."

Shit. Now I really have to change my hiding pleaces after all this eavesdropping I just did. I run quickly towards one of the shelves by my right while Dean tries to walk past Rachel. Thankfully no one sees me as I make my way back to the conference room.
