I

130 16 30

They say he's an angel sent to me,
for me
His halo is a crown that he will give to someone
and I had better be there to accept it
His wings of gold can fly a mile in a second,
so fast that the only thing that rises after him is not dust but flashes of luxury
and that kind of speed wipes up girls of the floor all the time
He keeps stars in his jars,
spread in order across the shelf,
like a collector he will brag of how much worth each and every one of them has
He will claim comets do not exist,
galaxy is just another word for him and he's got a power to gift it
Heaven, he says, is a space between us two
Heaven, he will say, is when you stay

When I say,
Hell is a place that foresaw his arrival and have been waiting for him this whole time
The gold weeps from his wings and they are taken by god as a punishment
No one knows why,
but he will treat them like they're still white, still holy
I keep stars in a jar and stick names of all my desires,
like a fool I will send another one free to burn somewhere far away
When I read a story of fallen angels out loud and describe them in a poetic way as comets
He would claim They do not exist
His gifts will spread burning kisses across my neck, forehead and ankles
Heaven, he says, is when you stay
here
forever

They say he's the sun that fell to Earth
His open hands melt everything even the hearts of stone
His fall is a story of survival,
of being able to glow so beautifully,
of being able to aspire many
They will call him Icarus,
pray that his feet could walk on water,
claim that its the truth I have been looking for
He's a symbol of everything good in this world,
a messenger that gives and gives and gives
all
Tradition is secrete and he will practice its rituals on my skin
He will call this a form of loving
Heaven, he says, is this
I should know, I've been there

When I say
His hands melt everything including myself they do not believe me
When I say
life with him is not divine, is not a painting from renaissance
they do not believe me
When I speak the truth, he leaves for days
He remembers heaven but does not recall how he wanted to sell it
His fall is a story of being able to fake flying
His story is this,
birds fear him,
sun despises every ounce of his being
and god...
Well, He opened a hole and pushed him through
