Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.
–John Lennon
Chapter 3
It's been a week since the events under the tree. It's probably quite bad that I've found myself on numerous occasions looking out for him, I'm not even sure why?
He's been no where to be seen though in a while, but thinking of that made me wonder why disappointment overcome me knowing that. We'd only just met.
I grabbed my keys and left to pick up Mia before school starts.
As I drove my eyes flicker to the bright colors that filled my vision, different shades of green that solemnly filled the towering trees that surrounded me.
My mind drifted to what the blue eyed beast was doing right now. I wonder where he is? If he'll be there today?
Why I even care?
It's like someone tore my head in half. Part wants to get to know him more, the other not having a bloody clue why I do.
I just want to win. That's all.
I stare angrily at nothing as I start getting annoyed at my thoughts spiraling through my brain.
I screeched slightly and began to halt as I realized I'd reached Mia's house, I quickly put my foot on the break and came to a swift stop.
All I saw was a mass of hair as a clearly worried Mia comes into view...
'What the hell, are you crazy?!' Her hands flailed as she spoke, 'You could have killed yourself!'
'I'm fine' I said half amused, half relived as my heart rate slowly started to decline again.
She quickly jumps in and her presence alone was enough to mostly clear my head of the blue eyed boy swirling through my head; key word there being mostly.
As we reach school a strange feeling overcame me, I couldn't explain it. It was like something bad and good was going to happen all at once. The second I stepped out the car my eyes automatically roamed the crowded parking lot searching for one thing in particular. Well, one person.
'Oh look Lay, that Jaymes boy is back'
Those words. Those perfectly innocent words, made my chest tighten.
'Where?' I asked her, trying not to sound too interested... and failing.
'I saw him walk into the main hall, calm the hell down or you'll die of cardiac arrest before you even talk to him' She laughed to herself as she said it.
I never laughed. I just stared at her blankly then walked ahead.
'What's your obsession anyway? You've only spoke to him like twice?' She questioned with a look of general confusion on her face.
'I'm not sure if I'm honest, I think he needs to be put down a peg, and I think I'm the one who needs to do it' I replied, though I think I was more telling myself.
She just chuckled to herself and carried on walking.

I managed to go majority of the day without seeing him barring a two second eye contact by my locker. Where he winked...
The rude son of a beach towel winked!
My curiosity by this point has turn to rage. How dare he act so pompous and self absorbed. I pitied the girls who'd had their hearts broken by him.
