My foot is officially healed and I can now get back to working. I'm excited to be alongside Owen and of course the rest of the guys.

The morning of my first day back, I slipped on my blue tight-fitting t-shirt and my blue pants. I put on a pair of socks before putting on my lace-up boots.

"Damn, those jeans do wonders for your ass." Owen said and smacked my butt.

"Good morning to you, too." I teased and kissed his lips.

"Babe, can we talk about something?" Owen asked.

"Your father asked me if we could keep the PDA to a minimum when we're at the station. He said one of the guys told him that it makes him uncomfortable." Owen said.

"And I could tell you exactly who that guy is. It's Trent." I said.

"Haz, Trent's not a bad guy. He and I get along." Owen said as we walked outside to my car.

"Owen, you don't know about all the stuff he said to me that day Dad was talking to you in his office." I announced.

"Hazel, what'd he say to you?" He asked.

"Trent said that I didn't work for the lieutenant position and that everything just falls into my lap. He also said that I'm just a girl in a man's profession and I won't last much longer." I said angrily as I drove to the station.

"I'll talk to him." Owen said.

"Don't. It'll make things worse." I said.

Soon, we pulled into the station and went inside. I began to take inventory on the supplies in the aid-cars. I wrote down what we needed and took the sheet to dad's office.

"Hey Hazel." He greeted.

"Hey daddy. I took inventory in the aid-cars and this is what we need." I said and handed him the sheet.

"Thank you. I'll get it ordered soon." Dad said.

"Was it Trent that complained about Owen and I?" I asked.

"Hazel, this isn't the time or place." Dad scolded.

"Then I'll come to the house after my shift to pick some of my stuff up and talk more about this." I said before walking out of his officer and slamming his door.

"Did daddy not give you what you wanted?" Trent teased.

"Shut the fuck up, Trent." I screamed and stormed up to the break room.

"What has gotten in to you?" Gavin asked as he stormed into the room.

"Have you heard what he's saying to me?" I asked with tears forming in my eyes.

"Just ignore him, Hazel." Gavin said softly.

"Why should I? Shouldn't I stand up for myself?" I asked.

"Yes, but don't cuss him out. He could report you to the battalion chief for harassment." Gavin said and hugged me softly.

"I'll control my anger." I gave in.

"Good. I'll see you at lunch, Haz" he said before leaving.

I got myself under control before heading back down to the truck bay. I grabbed a bucket and some sponges and began to clean up by rig. I made my rig look nice and shiny before making sure hoses were put away neatly. I checked the batteries in the CB radios before popping the hood. I checked the oil and added some more to it.

"Damn, I never thought a dirty girl could be so sexy." Owen said from behind me.

I looked down at my blue pants that are covered in dust and who knows what else.

"It's time for lunch, Haz." Owen said and led me to the break room.

I washed my hands before sitting down at the table.

"What's for lunch?" Will asked.

"Chicken with a side of macaroni and cheese." Gavin said as he brought the platter and bowl to the table.

"Gavin's chicken is the best." I cheered and smiled.

I put 2 scoops of Mac and cheese on my plate before grabbing a big piece of chicken. I savored my chicken but snarfed my Mac and cheese.

"Damn, little girl can eat." Will teased and the guys laughed.

"I was hungry." I said and blushed.

After everyone was done eating, Gavin and I stayed back to wash the dishes.

"How's life with Owen, Haz?" He asked.

"It's amazing. He treats me well." I answered and smiled while drying off a plate.

"I'm happy for you." Gavin said and lightly smiled.

"What about you, Gav? Do you have a lady friend?" I asked.

"Just have one-night stands. That's about all I can get." Gavin said sadly.

"Let me set you up on a blind date or something. I know a lot of single ladies." I said as a dried some forks.

"Last time you did that you set me up with your cousin, Mallory." Gav said and rolled his eyes.

"Ok fine. I'm not the best at setting people up." I said and chuckled.

We finished washing dishes and headed down to the truck bay where all the guys were BSing.

"Hazel, Gavin, Owen, your shifts are over." Dad announced from his office door.

"Bye Dad." I called as Owen and I walked out of the station.

We got into my car, and I drove over to my parents' house. Mom was home, so I knocked before walking in with Owen. Mom was sitting on the sofa watching tv.

"Hey Mom." I greeted.

"Hey honey. And hello Owen." Mom said as she got up from the sofa.

She hugged us both before patting Owen's shoulder.

"Did you finally get her talked into dating you?" Mom asked.

"Yes ma'am I did." Owen said and smiled widely.

"Congratulations. What brings you two over?" Mom asked.

"I'm going to pick some of my stuff up." I said and smiled.

"Moving I'm with Owen?" She questioned.

"Yes." Owen said and put his arm around my waist.

I led Owen to my room, and we began to put my clothes into duffel bags.

"Can you model this tonight?" Owen asked as he held up a lace bra and panty set.

"We'll see." I said and chuckled before stuffing it into a bag.

After we packed my clothes, I put my shoes and boots into a cardboard box. Lastly, I grabbed a few of my favorite blankets.

"All done?" Owen asked.

"All done." I answered and kissed him.

We said goodbye to my mom before packing my things out to the car. When we got home, I closed the door and Owen pushed me against the wall. He trailed kisses down my neck as his hands gripped my hips.

"Station 12– Explosion in the parking lot of the mall. I repeat explosion in the mall parking lot." The dispatcher said over our pagers.
