*Aiyana's POV*

"It's Aiyana, Caelan. She's here." Alaster pointed to his head.
Caelan's eyes went wide as he continued to stare at us. I rolled my eyes at Caelan's behavior but it was understandable. I sighed.
"Well there goes my spying days." I grumbled. "Thanks Als."
Victor chuckled as he walked up beside me and sat down. "He's always been a party pooper."
"I can see that." I mumbled. My eyes went back to Caelan, who still had the same face. I sighed again. "Alaster, I'm taking over for a moment."
     Sure.
I pushed forward, making Alaster sit beside Victor. I blinked a couple of times before looking around. I clenched and unclenched my fists to make sure everything was in working order. After I went through my routine, I looked over to Caelan.
"You know if you keep your face like that it will stay like that." I snickered.
     "Aiyana?" His brows furrowed together.
"Does Alaster usually have blue eyes?" I scoffed.
     "So it really is you?"
     "You're like a broken record."
"Yep, that's you." He smirked. "Have you always been able to do that?" He pointed to us.
"I found out about this shortly after I saved Alaster." I nonchalantly waved my hand, waving off this topic. "How are you guys doing?"
"You know I'm not used to talking to you through Alaster, with his voice and all." He nervously laughed. He was trying to change the subject. I raised an eyebrow, not buying it. He sighed, rubbed the back of his neck and then glanced towards me. "We are fine I guess. We don't like it that you are no where to be found."
"But you know where I am." I interrupted.
"Like I'll believe that. The Bermuda Triangle is the center of horrifying monsters and dangerous seas."
I clenched Alaster's fist as my anger rose. "You think I would lie about where I am. I'm not that childish." I growled. I glared at Caelan. "Goodbye Caelan."
I let Alaster have control back. I watched Alaster yell at Caelan for being a dick, and I couldn't help but laugh at him. Suddenly I felt a sharp pull, someone was messing with my body.
"Alaster, I'll see you around. My body is calling me." I said while giving him a mental hug.
See you sis. He gave me a mental hug back before my soul was violently casted back into my body. I was slammed harshly back and I mentally gasped for air. I opened my eyes and found Castor above me, straddling my hips; his hands to my chest. His amber eyes slightly glossy from unshed tears. It wasn't noticeable to others but it was there.
"What do you think your doing?" I asked while looking at my surroundings. Castor on top of me, Zen and Zander on each side of me and Hoshi was behind my brother. All had worried expressions upon their faces. I scrunched my face in confusion.
"We were trying to get you to breathe again." Castor narrowed his eyes, clearly not liking my attitude. "Is it wrong to try to save you?"
"I am fine." I looked to Zen and Zander. "And you two know perfectly well why my body does that at times. Don't get your knickers in a twist." I growled.
"What do you mean? What is going on here?" Castor demanded, making me sigh.
                                ****
It's been a week since that incident and Castor has been frantically at my side everywhere. He didn't like the idea that I was sharing my soul but I honestly didn't care what he thought about it. Anybody for that matter, what's done is done and I wouldn't change it.
But I needed some space to breathe. I groaned inside my head.
Yeah, ain't gonna happen captain! Loki stated with a smirk. A smile formed upon my lips.
It's good to hear you again.
Yeah, it's good to be back.
     Is everyone back?
Nope I am the first to be up. He stretched.
"Castor, we need you in the meeting room." One of the councilors called for my mate. I could tell he was pissed so I gently placed my hands against his arm. He soon calmed down and gave me a glance.
     "Go on Castor. I'm fine."
     "Are you sure?" He asked.
"Yes I'm fine. I'll just go look around, get to know the people better." I softly smiled. In his eyes, I could see the internal war within himself.
"Alright but bring someone with you." He said before leaving with the council member.
"Geez, I thought he never leave." Hoshi's voice carried from behind me. I turned and found him looking really irritated.
"Hello Hoshi. How are you today?"
"Tch, same as always." He placed his hands behind his head and slightly leaned on them. "I thought you were going to buckle with all of that tension in the air."
"Believe me, I survived worse." I smirked. "So Hoshi, care to take a walk with me? I relieved Zen and Zander of duty today. They have been by my side since we got here."
"Sure why not." Hoshi shrugged and placed his arms back in front of him, crossing them in a dignified manner. "Not like I have anything better to do."
"Always the charmer." I chuckled and proceeded through the corridors.
When Hoshi and I arrived outside of the gate, we were immediately bombarded by the villagers. I didn't mind being in a crowd but this was ridiculous. My personal space was having a fit about how close these people were.
"Back off people. Can't you see that she is uncomfortable." Hoshi stated annoyed as he pulled me behind him, warming my heart to see that he cared. But despite his warning, people continued to close in.
Hoshi growled, picked me up bridal style and jumped from the crowd. My heart leapt in my chest. I guess I didn't take comfort in this since I wasn't able to fly. If I fell, it was going to hurt...a lot. Hoshi jumped effortlessly across roof top to roof top at amazing speed. Only when the forest came into view, did Hoshi slow down. He traveled a little bit deeper in the forest before he gently set me down.
"I hope the forest is okay." He rubbed the back of his neck. I looked to him. "Hey now, no funny ideas."
"I wasn't thinking of the sort but I guess you were." I snickered. His cheeks became a deep burgundy as his embarrassment grew. I couldn't help but giggle at his actions. "I do thank you though. The forest was a good idea. It makes me feel at peace." I walked over to a tree and gently touched the bark.
"No problem." Hoshi paused. "By the way Aiyana, what did you mean that you had to learn quickly to survive?"
I looked over my shoulder and found Hoshi staring at me intently. I focused back to the tree in front of me, gently dragging my fingers across the bark.
"I was raised Feral." My hand stopped moving as my mind went back to my past.
     "What's Feral?"
My hand clench against the bark. I sighed and let my arm drop by my side. I looked at him with a smirk.
"Maybe if you attend your lessons once in a while, you might learn something." I joked.
"Aiyana, stop changing the subject." Hoshi huffed.
"You know Hoshi it is rude to bring up a girl's past. You don't know how horrible it could have been." I cocked an eyebrow at him. He blushed, then immediately found the ground more appealing.
     "Sorry." He whispered.
"It's fine." I turned to him. "Feral," he looked up at me. "is when someone is raised outside of any mythical custom. I never knew my parents, they abandoned me when I was still a pup. So in their absence, a family of regular wolves took care of me in their place. I learned how to hunt, survive the natural elements, disease and much more. I've also learned about a pack, a community, ranks and privileges. My family was the Alpha family out of the pack."
"So does that make you a leader?" Hoshi slowly asked, afraid he might hurt my feelings. I could hear the pain laced in his voice. I shook my head.
"No. I was the Omega. Lowest of the hierarchy."
"You don't mean...?" Hoshi's ears flattened against his head. His eyes already showing me his insight of what he was thinking.
"Yup. I was beaten, mutilated and..." My voice cracked and my cheeks became wet. I placed my hand to my cheeks, feeling the warmth of the water. I was crying. I gently hugged myself, looking away from Hoshi. "Though I had a tough life, I never once regretted it. I had a family who loved me even when they knew I was different."
"Why didn't they stop it?" Hoshi asked with serious expression.
"They didn't know about it until recently. They were going to punish them but I wouldn't let them."
     "Why not?"
"It's not in my nature. Besides when it comes down to the pack or your family, Alpha's have to choose pack every time."
"But family must count sometimes. Without family there wouldn't be love and without love their would be no one left on earth." Hoshi stated while giving me a reassuring hug. My mind took a minute to process that. I was going to say something but a familiar presence appeared behind me. And with Hoshi growling, it only confirmed it.
"What do you want Aedan?" I pulled away from Hoshi and faced him.
It's that asshole. Loki seethed, I could already feel him banging against the barrier I put up. He was fighting to get out.
"I was just patrolling my boarders." He arched a brow at us. "It seems that we almost have intruders." He cunningly smirked and leaned against the tree next to him. I rolled my eyes.
"Hoshi, if anything goes wrong please leave." I stared at him firmly.
     "I won't leave you here."
"Promise me. If Loki gets out, and with his anger last time, he won't hesitate to kill you." I paused. "I don't want to lose you. If you really want to help, make sure you get my brother. His demon side is the only way to calm him."
Yeah right! Loki scoffed, while glaring at Aedan.
A loud whistle of amusement came from Aedan.
     "Wow, shit got serious."
"It did when you decided to show your ugly mug." Loki slipped through a bit, turning my hair half black. I could only imagine what my eyes look like now. "You have some balls."
Aedan flinched for a moment before he regained his composure. He arched a brow.
"Now, now. No need for insults." He stepped forward a bit.
Suddenly a searing pain went throughout my chest, making me unable to cut off the connection in time. Tears flooded my eyes as it spread throughout my body. The pain was unbearable that it made me turn back to normal. I collapsed to my knees, clutching my heart. I held back my sobs and screams as I watched him slowly approach me.
Get away from him now! Alaster screamed into my mind.
     What's happening?
It's a part of the rejecting. If you don't away from him soon, you will die. He spoke through the pain.
I won't allow it to happen. Loki growled as he pushed through forcefully; the pain immediately ceasing. In the back of my mind, I was trying to regain my breath. I could see my hair turn black, no doubt my eyes changed as well.
"What the...?" Hoshi looked at me weirdly.
Loki, don't do anything stupid. I panted and collapsed onto the floor of my mind, I think that what it was called.
"Well, if it isn't the mighty Asmodeus. Thank you for gracing me with your presence." He mockingly bowed, pissing Loki off to the max.
     Loki don't.
"Watch your tongue Aedan." Loki warned.
     "Why should I?"
"You won't like the outcome." Loki narrowed our eyes.
     "I ain't afraid of a lowly demon."
"Oh honey, I am not a lowly demon." Loki scoffed, his tail swinging in aggravation. "If I wanted to, I could have you beheaded for a lifetime for your insult."
"Wow, talk about petty." Aedan snickered.  "Royals always have arrogance. They never worked hard to get what they got."
Loki clenched my hand; our body shaking from pure rage. If I didn't stop Loki soon he was going to go on a killing spree.
"We may not have worked hard as you commoners like to think, but we've went through much harder hardships. I have enteral damnation. I have no peace and I'm not allowed any happiness. It's even a miracle that we have mates. I rather have eternal life than eternal damnation. Not allowed a life to live, only knowing suffering and pain, having different tortures and agony every single day." Loki pointed at Aedan. "So... I don't want to hear about how much you worked. It's about the hardships and the sacrifices you had to make." Loki stood up proudly. "And I have learned that I won't take anything for granted. One person made me realize that." I could feel that comment point at me. "You might want to reflect on what you lost."
"I didn't lose anything worth keeping." Aedan spoke nonchalantly.
I felt my heart shatter while something in my mind snapped. I didn't have the strength to hold Loki back anymore.
My mate said that I wasn't worth anything. I'm worthless. Josie was right, who could ever love a worthless omega? My omega side came out. In the back of my kind, I crawled to the deepest, darkest place, hoping to never return.
