SEEING BLIND

27| The Beach House.

They were two hours away from the beach house, Annie was passed out in the back as Andre took over the job of driving. Luke was slightly less tired than Annie but was still struggling to keep his eyes open and not fall asleep.

He wanted to keep Andre company, make sure he was ok and didn't feel alone. It was stupid really, if Luke thought this around his old friends he'd probably call himself a pussy, then turn over and go to sleep.

Andre was so much better than his other friends. He was his best friend now, he actually wanted to be with him for his personality not his popularity- that he no longer had anyway.

"Andre did I tell you that Annie and I said it?" Luke started, lifting his head from the back of the seat and rubbing his eyes.

"Said what, mate?" Andre chuckled, turning the volume of the radio down as he noticed the small snores escaping Annie's lips. She looked cute lying there, soundly asleep, Andre couldn't help but smile to himself.

"That we love each other." Luke grinned, cheeks slightly flushed at the memories.

"No way! That's awesome dude, I'm happy for you." Andre chimed, his arm reaching across and resting on Luke's shoulder, squeezing him with joy.

"Thanks, And- even if I say so myself- I was so fucking smooth." Luke laughed, tapping Andre's side in appreciation as he stared forward, watching the endless road of black continue into the abyss.

"Go on then, tell me how it's done." Andre could see how excited Luke was about this, how genuinely ecstatic he was over this cute rich girl he just had to let him brag.

Even if his boasting did slightly pick at a few nerves of Andre's, his happiness for his newly best friend was honestly overwhelming and he felt so good that he finally found someone who wasn't a snobby bitch named Kelly.

"Basically, I- we were sat in the boot of her car, long story, and we were cuddled together, and I was like 'you wanna know the worst thing about being blind' and she was like 'you don't have to blah blah' and I said 'I won't know what you look like when I tell you I love you' and she kissed me and god it was amazing." Luke rambled, head thrown back against the seat.

"You are one smooth fuck aren't you? I guess being a previous fuck boy really pays off huh?" Andre punched him in the arm playfully, laughing at the teasing and making sure he was still going the right directions.

"I am very smooth, and sadly yes, I was such a prick." Luke mumbled, rolling his eyes at himself and cringing at his past self.

He was a fuck boy, and he knew it, always wanting to get laid, always going to parties, always hitting on girls even when he had a girlfriend. For Luke, Kelly didn't count as a girlfriend, she was rude and horrible but at the time they were perfect for each other.

"And we said it again yesterday, she said she loved me when we were listening to that band." Luke beamed, licking his lips as he remembered the events that followed afterwards.

Andre genuinely smiled, patting the boys head and focusing back on the road, not before sneaking a glance at the girl in the back to see her shuffling in her position, stirring from her slumber.

Finally, the beach house. 'House' was a definite understatement. Annie hadn't mentioned that the 'house' was actually a mansion taking up basically half the beach, windows everywhere and subtle lights decorating the setting.
