"OK OK," Hoseok laughed, "I was just curious. Don't worry, I believe you and I won't spread any rumors or anything."
"Thank you Hobi!" You spoke earnestly into the phone, and your car began backing up... without your knowledge. "I'll let you go now so-"
With a large crash, you were thrusted back and forth in your chair as the back of your car hit a patch of ice that turned it a bit into the rich person's yard... and caused it to barrel straight into a marble statue.
Your breath caught and you dropped your phone at the sudden lurch as it collided with the object, the back of your car taking a little damage and you getting a bit shaken up. Frozen and unmoving, you stayed completely still and didn't move until you heard Hoseok's faint voice coming from your phone.
"(Y/N)?! (Y/N), are you OK?" You picked up your phone with a shaking hand and held it to your ear so you could more clearly hear Hoseok's panicked voice.
"Y-Yeah, I'm OK," You informed him, a little shaken up.
"What happened?!"
You looked behind you to see your car's little situation and you felt your breath catch.
"Uhh... nothing?"
With a sickening sound, the marble began cracking at the base of the statue until it gave out from little support. With a loud crash, it fell to the frozen ground and shattered into large pieces that become strewn among the grass.
"I-I'll call you back later," You weakly whimpered into the phone, eyes still locked onto the damage you had just created as you hung up. You blinked and stayed motionless only for a moment more before slamming your head into the steering wheel.
"WHAT HAVE I DONE?!"
~~~
You shivered and held your arms close to your body as you made your way up the long driveway to reach the door of the large house. You couldn't believe you had managed to put yourself in such a situation. Why didn't you listen when everyone told you not to drive and be on your phone?!
Cursing yourself under your breath, you found yourself shaking as you willed your feet to climb the steps that led to the front door. It was large and fancy, the bronze decor fitting the overall feel of the house very well. The doorbell was also coated in bronze and hung tauntingly beside the luxurious wooden door.
Taking a deep breath and doing what you knew was right, you pressed your finger to it and heard the loud echoing of the summoning noise from within the large house.
You waited for a minute but no one came. It seemed to get colder and colder so your discomfort led to you ringing the doorbell again. You prayed that the owner wasn't some bitter old man who would beat you with his cane or something. That would be unfortunate.
You became inpatient as the owner took forever to show up, and you began to pound on the door, but was interrupted when it flung open. You squeaked in surprise and quickly yanked your hand back, sheepishly looking up at the man who had opened the door.
Clear surprise settled over your features as you saw him. He definitely wasn't an old guy with a cane, in fact, he didn't look that much older than you. His hair looked styled to lay perfectly on his face and handsome features. His eyes looked quizzical and his dimples looked adorable; he was good looking for sure and you found your words catching in your throat as you tried to speak. He wore a robe as if he had been preparing for bed and held a glass of water.
Equal surprise coated his face as he saw you shivering on his doorstep.
"Um, who are you?" He asked, his deep voice rattling your mere presence and taking you even further off guard.
