Hermione awoke suddenly. She sat up, causing her now long hair to fall in her face. It only took a moment for the memories of the previous day to rush back.

Hermione swung her long legs over the side of her bed and leaned forward, "It was just a dream." She muttered.

It was a dream, yet so vivid. She had been running through a forest of sorts, the book she had bought clutched in her hands. The book was leading her, taking her somewhere. She had to go.

Automatically, her legs moved and brought her over to her bookshelf. She reached out and took the book before sitting in her window seat. The light of early dawn crept through the teal curtains. She pulled them back before opening the book to the first page.

Hermione smiled slightly to herself. She was special, accoridng to this book at least. It was written by Ravenclaw herself, so it must be true. Ignoring the warning, she flipped the pages until she came across the first chapter.

Chapter 1
The Founding Of Hogwarts

Believe what you want about Hogwarts, the famous school for Witchcraft and Wizardry. Many of the stories are lies. The Chamber of Secrets, The House Elf Program, The Four Houses, The Sorting Hat, House Points, Quidditch Cup. All of it is lies.

Hogwarts is not a home. Hogwarts was intended as a prison. A place to keep young wizards and witches. A place to harness their power only so it could be ripped away, leaving them powerless. Leaving them souless. Leaving them dead inside. Leaving them as an army, ready to do any command given in hopes of their magic returning. It never would.

The school was opened in 900 A.D. it had, and still has, four houses. You believe that your house tells you which family you belong in. What your personality is. You, are wrong. The four houses each stand for something.
