Chapter 4 - Goodbye...
After a few minutes of the nameless man contemplating, he finally lifted his head.
" Fine, but here are the terms: you must swear that you will keep whatever secrets you discover while living here. If I were to ever let you leave you will not speak to anyone about who I am or my whereabouts. Understood?"
"Wait, Anna, what are you thinking?" My father interrupted. he was looking at me with such despair , that I almost gave in, but I can't leave him here when I have a better chance at surviving than he does.
"Sorry daddy... I love you.." I turned back to the beast, "Fine." I did my best to stay emotionless, but I could feel the tears pooling in my eyes.
"Then, we have a deal." Swiftly walking past me, he yanked the chains from the wall and started to drag my father by the cuffs trapping my fathers arms.
"NO....NO! ANNA! Don't do this!" Daddy kept screaming as he was being forced up the stairs. "I already lived my life, sweetheart."
"I'm sorry daddy..."
"Wait, don't I get to hug my daughter one last time?"
"No." He growled, dominantly.
He isn't letting me say goodbye? I have to! By the time I had ran up the stairs, the door was already shut and locked tight.
"Bye, daddy. I love you." I whispered, hoping that somehow he heard my cry. Just as the first tear started to fall did my knees give out. This is the right thing to do, Anna. Its so that daddy can live the rest of his life free from a dungeon.
I could still hear his pleas as he was forced away from me.
