Michael

"Will any of you go on a date with me this Friday?" I asked desperately as I sat down at the table.

"What?" Ashton laughed.

"I need a date by tomorrow night." I sighed.

"Can I ask why?" Luke replied with a laugh.

"Jordan asked me to double date with her and Damion." I explained.

"And you said yes?" Calum asked.

"It's Jordan, of course I said yes." I groaned.

"I'm afraid I'm going to have to pass." Ashton smiled.

"Guys, help me!" I exclaimed, throwing my arms up.

"Alright, alright, do you want me to ask Mali?" Calum offered.

"I don't want to bother her." I declined.

"She really wouldn't mind. She loves Jordan and she tolerates you." Calum laughed causing me to glare. "Plus I know she isn't busy this weekend."

"Are you sure?" I trailed off.

"Yes I'm sure." Calum chuckled.

-

"So..." Mali started, "Who is this Damion guy?"

"Jordan started tutoring him after they met on his first day at school. Their first date was an asking Alexandria concert." I stated with an eye roll.

"Wow, he must really like her." Mali commented.

"I'm not so sure." I muttered. "She went to his house after school the other night and when she showed up at work, she was crying. Jordan never told me what happened but I think he did something to her."

"You don't know that it was him. It could have been anything, especially with a past like hers." Mali replied.

"I know." I sighed. "Damion just gives off a bad vibe."

"So I've heard." Mali chuckled.

-

"Mali!" Jordan exclaimed, jumping up to hug her. "What are you doing here?"

"Michael's date fell through so I offered to fill." Mali told her.

"Let me introduce you to Damion then." She smiled, gesturing to him. He stood up and shook her hand before he shook mine.

"You're pretty quick on your feet Hood." I told her quietly as I pulled a chair out for her.

"Where do you think Calum learned it from?" She smirked.

"So how do you guys know each other?" Damion asked.

"I'm Calum's sister." Mali told him. "What about you guys? How'd you meet?"

"We had history together and I asked her if she could tutor me." He answered. I noticed how Jordan flinched when Damion placed his hand over hers. Mali gently kicked my leg letting me know she noticed too.

Damion's phone suddenly rang and he cursed under his breath before answering it. Jordan's gaze followed him as he stormed out of the restaurant.

"What was that about?" Mali questioned.

"I don't know. He's been having family problems this week." Jordan replied in a quiet voice.

Before anything else could be said Damion returned the table. Jordan went to say something to him but he cut her off saying, "I'm leaving, you can come or don't. It doesn't really matter to me."

"What's going on?" Jordan asked.

"I'm leaving, that's what's going on!" He yelled, slamming his fist down on the table.

The restaurant got quieter when he did and Jordan diverted her gaze. Damion sighed and asked in a quieter voice, "Are you coming or not?"

"I'm not." She barely whispered.

Without another word, Damion turned on his heel and left. My eyes met Jordan's, except she had tears brimming in them.

"Excuse me." She whispered, standing up and hurrying to the bathroom.
