"Yes!" Leo cheered.
He finally finished hooking up the astrolabe to the Argo II's navigation system. It showed him that Ogygia was just 80 miles off Montauk Beach. If all goes well, he should get to Ogygia and back in less than a few hours. Leo raised the sails and took off into the silent night.
"They won't notice I'm gone for a few hours," Leo said.
He was really excited about seeing Calypso again. The thought of her alone on the island, waiting to be rescued...Leo couldn't even think about it.
"Ogygia, here I come!" Leo said, all prepped up and everything.
He put the ship on autopilot and went down to get a Coke. He flipped through the channels and settled for one of Coach Hedge's Chuck Norris movies. A few minutes later, he dozed off, dreaming about his Island Girl.
"SCHNITZEL!" Leo shouted when he woke up to a beeping sound.
"Oh, I'm here!" Leo said.
Leo looked over the side and saw Calypso, wide eyed, and frozen in shock. He pulled some levers and landed the ship in the water with a splash.
"Leo, you're here! You kept your promise," Calypso ran over and tackled Leo with the world's biggest hug.
"An oath to keep with a final breath," Leo said, smiling.
He tucked a strand of hair behind Calypso's ear and kissed her. He had no idea how long the kiss was, but with the feeling of her lips of his, Leo wouldn't care if the world exploded at that point.
"Miss me much?" Leo asked jokingly,"C'mon, I'll show you 'round the ship."
He showed Calypso the deck and break room and dining room and...everything. He was just so glad to have her back, even if she was a little annoying.
"So we're setting sail to New York now!" Leo said, pushing some buttons.
"New York?" Calypso asked.
"Oh right! You missed the last, like, few thousand years! Dang, I got a lot to tell ya. Let's start with New York..."
He spent the next few hours sailing back to Camp Half Blood and telling Calypso everything about the 21st century and CHB.
"And when we get back, you have to meet my friends. I can tell you AND Hazel about chicken nuggets!"
"You are really ADHD," Calypso laughed,"What were we even talking about?"
Leo shrugged and pressed a button on his Wii remote.
He pointed down and said,"That's the Statue of Liberty. We should be close."
"Woah," Calypso breathed in awe,"It's beautiful."
"Yes you are," Leo said.
"Come on. Even at the time of the gods that was the cheesiest pickup line."
Leo glanced at this watch and said to Calypso,"Hey, I gotta speed the ship up 'cause I'm late for work."
"Work? You have a job as a mechanic?"
"Close. I'm on HephaestusTV."
"Huh?"
Leo spent the next 10 minutes explaining the whole thing.
As they landed by Bunker 9, Leo said,"I gotta warn you, Calypso. My boss-"
"VALDEZ!" an all too familiar voice shouted.
"And I'm dead."

I think I got a little lazy. Plus, I'm working on romance writing but right now it's clearly not my forte. I think we can all agree I'm more of a comedy person.
