Season 1 Episode 10 - The Supermarket Incident + Livestream from Brazil

*Written in Chloe's perspective*

"I'm hungry!" Frank whined,"What's for lunch?"

"You mean the lunch we had an hour ago?" Chloe asked as she, Frank and Leo crossed the street.

"I don't care! I'm starving here!" Frank shouted.

"Hey, we can get food over there," Leo piped in, pointing at a store across the street.

"Awesome," Chloe said,"Hey guys, did we do a currency exchange yet? Never mind, I think they'll accept American Express."

She pulled out a credit card and the three went into the store. Chloe grabbed a cart and got a box of Twinkies - no doubt Frank would want some. Leo added some taco ingredients, breath mints (why?) and Wonder Bread. Frank followed with peanut butter, Ding Dongs, brownies and 3 different types of salsas and chutneys. Chloe went to the breakfast section to find something for the next morning. As she went over to the cereals, she spotted Leo flirting with some foreign girls - and the girls seemed to actually like it. Chloe pushed aside the weird feeling in her stomach and tried to reach a box of Cheerios off the top shelf.

"I must be going nuts," Chloe thought,"There's no way on Olympus I can like Repair Boy. Plus, there's the cute camera boy."

She yanked the cereal box a little too hard, and like most demigods, something went wrong. The entire top shelf of cereal boxes collapsed, toppling on the girls Leo was flirting with.

"Score!" Chloe said to herself.

Even though she didn't mean to do it, it was still REALLY funny. Chloe got her phone and was about to take a picture when she saw Leo coming.

"Uh oh," she thought.

The girls already left and Leo seemed pissed. True, it was technically Chloe's fault, but it was an accident! A funny accident, but she never meant any harm.

"We got everything," Leo said coldly,"Let's go."

The walk to the hotel consisted of on and off arguments and the sound of Frank's constant eating.

"Don't eat too much," Chloe reminded Frank,"You'll get a stomachache."

"I'm a growing boy, I'll eat all I want," Frank said, unwrapping another Twinkie.

"Yeah, quit ruining things for people," Leo scowled.

"For the last time, IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!" Chloe exclaimed,"Can't you get that through your thick skull?"

Leo grumbled,"Yeah, it's always an 'accident' with you."

"What?"

"Never mind, it's nothing."

Leo added some unflattering words, and in turn, Chloe returned the favor. As they went into the hotel and walked to their rooms, the argument turned into a contest to see who could offend the other person more. The boys had one room and since Chloe was the only girl on the trip, she had her own room across the hall. Just before they left, both of them said something they'd really regret.

"At least I'm not as much of a freak as you are!" Leo spat.

"At least my mom's death wasn't my fault!" Chloe said back.

She saw pain flash in his eyes and said,"Leo, I'm-"

"Just forget it," Leo said.

He closed the door and Chloe decided she should go to her room too. As she unlocked the door, she couldn't help but think that maybe what Leo said was right...

Chloe: Hello Internet! Have no fear, Chloe's here! Like my new hat? I got it at the gift shop. *Puts on FIFA hat* Hope you don't mind if I play some music. So I'm in my hotel room in Brazil and it's pretty hot even with the A/C on. If you're wondering why we're not on the ship, well, I've always wanted to go sightseeing in Brazil. I mean, this place is awesome! I hope I'm not doing too bad for my first livestream. Just leave some questions and comments and I'll be answering all of them them here.

*Phone beeps*

Chloe: Hold on, I got a text. Okay, Hazel just asked me what's the song I'm playing in the background. *Sighs* Hazel, sweetheart, when I get back we're gonna spend a day on YouTube, okay? But for anyone else who doesn't know, that's Rebel Beat by The Goo Goo Dolls. I heard it on the radio the other day and I was just hooked. Here's another question- RACHEL ELIZABETH DARE I WILL KILL YOU! But I said I'll answer all questions, so here goes nothing! Before I came here, Rachel and I made a bet on who would win the game. Well I lost. I probably shouldn't have made a bet with the Oracle. I lost the bet and I never did what  I was supposed to do. Rachel, do I have to tell them? *Looks at computer* Fine. She said if America won I...I had to kiss Valdez. Do you really think I wanted to do that? That's what was up with that awkward hug. Plus I've never kissed anyone and I don't want my first kiss to be publicized. Got that?

Leo: *Comes in* Can I raid your mini fridge?

Chloe: Why? We just went to the store. Um, since when did you wear tank tops?

Leo: Since when did you wear snapbacks? And we forgot to buy drinks. By the way, nice livestream.

Chloe: You were watching?

Leo: Nah, Frank was. So THAT'S why you hugged me. Yeah, that was awkward.

Chloe: Yeah...let's not do that again.

Leo: Agreed. Hey, you got Coke and candy bars!

Chloe: No duh. Can you leave now?

Leo: *Takes food* *Leaves*

Chloe: Adiós to him! Any more questions? Let's see...Frank said and I quote: "You guys are like an old married couple." Ew! Just, ew! Nico asked: "Does McDonald's do takeout?" Really? On what planet would McDonald's do takeout. Though I admit, it's not a bad idea. Um let's see...what else do I got? Oh yeah! This morning we got complaints from the hotel because our "blimp" was bothering other people. *Laughs* Sometimes, I love the Mist!

Nico: *Comes in* Have you seen a South American skull named Pablo?

Chloe: Uh, no.

Nico: Okay. I'm trying to keep an eye on him ever since he introduced Shakespere to Dubstep. *Leave*

Chloe: ...And that's all for today! Bye!

Chloe turned off her laptop, wondering if Leo was still mad at her. Of course he'd still be mad! She just threw him the worst insult in Leo World, something completely uncalled for.

"He called me a freak," Chloe reminded herself.

Yes, Leo called her a freak, but she reminded herself that she was used to being called that. Leo...he didn't need someone else to remind him of something so painful.

"Hey Chloe," Nico said,"You want something to eat?"

"Nah, I'm fine," Chloe replied.

Nico hesitated and put a plate of her nightable before leaving. Chloe realized it was a taco - and Leo signed his name in salsa. She smiled. Then, she realized she had to be the big girl. Chloe grabbed a pen and paper and started writing...

At around midnight, when everyone was asleep, Chloe picked the lock on the boys' room and found her way around in the dark. She slipped the note on Leo's nightstand and ruffled his hair playfully, until Leo mumbled something about Calypso in his sleep.

Just as she was about to leave, Frank groaned and asked,"Chloe? Is that you?"

"Why're you still up?" Chloe asked.

"Stomachache. Brownies. You told me so."

"Yeah...well, g'nite."

"Night."
