Virgil's mom was very right.
Summer flew by.
And soon, Patton had already gotten on a plane and was flying to Canada, Logan and Calypso were packing fly to Massachusetts, and Hellen and Valerie were calling an Uber to take them to an airport, where they'd fly to New York.
It was the hardest thing ever for Virgil to see each of them leave, but he still had Roman.
Virgil's parents and Roman's parents said goodbye to both of them and hugged them tightly.
Virgil's mom almost wouldn't let go of him.
"Mom, I have to go. I'll call as much as I can."
She nodded and wiped her tears as she let him leave.
And then, one hand on a huge luggage, and one hand in Roman's, Virgil stepped into the airport.
The warmth and comfort of Roman's hand made up for the internal pain and sadness of missing their friends.
That's all part of the magic.
