Zach's Pov
After Kristen left, I rummage through the mini fridge in hopes of a banana or an apple. Thankfully Daniel left one in there two nights ago.
I hop onto the bed while turning on the TV, leaving off from yesterday. Since when did I start watching The Notebook?
"Zach, I got a bone to pick with you," Daniel intrudes my tv session. "Dude, where were you? You missed the whole entire thing! Do you know how awkward it is preforming "These Girls" without you?" Daniel despises.
I feel the guilt kicking in. "I know, I know. I apologize. It's just something came up unexpectedly."
"What came up that was so important?" He glowers at me. Suddenly I feel so uncomfortable sitting directly next to him on the bed.
"Look, we've been on tour non stop for the past seven months and every single night night I barely get more than six hours of sleep. Six in a half if I'm lucky enough. I was really tired yesterday after dealing with a family emergency that I forgot to turn on my alarm, let alone charge my phone. I lost track of time, which lead to this. And for the hundredth time today, I'm sorry. I truly am."
"Woah, easy there Zach. Now you're making me feel bad. A quick sentence would do for next time. But you might want to explain to David about this, fast, cause he is not too thrilled."
I gulp down my saliva, "I know, I'll do it before tonight."
"Great, then everything is settled. Now why don't you get dressed so we can go downstairs to get some lunch. Also did you know that Kristen is here too? What a small world."
"Yeah, I knew."
"Oh." He says probably not expecting my response. "Well then, hurry up!"
"Give it a rest." I shout back. I scrounge around in my luggage to find a clean T-shirt and pants. While I'm at it, maybe a black hoodie.
