New applicants, there is a quiz at the bottom that you must complete as part of your application.
Once a month, a list of active users and their books will be posted. This is our library. If you are accepted for the month, your book will be added under the appropriate genre heading and the section you'd like to participate in. Your application must be accepted before you can send requests.
Section A: Light and Fun
Authors who place their books in light and fun are looking for reader reactions and positive, encouraging feedback on their work.
Comments requirements: Minimum comment requirements for Light and Fun are 5+ inline comments per chapter AND total comments should add up to 30+ words per chapter.
Section B: Moderate
Authors who place their books in moderate desire a mix of encouraging and constructive feedback. Please see the writer's feedback preference in the FBE month stories chapter for specific areas the author would like feedback on. If you chose this section you are welcome to specify what you would like feedback on (character development, pacing, hook, flow, dialogue, etc.)
Comment requirements: 7+ complete lines(PC)/13+ lines(mobile) of comment(s) on each chapter. When you write a comment and the text goes from one side of the box to the other, that's a complete line. One final inline comment may contain 7+ complete lines on PC or a person could also leave a combination of inline comments and final comments.
You can choose to list your story in both sections, in that case, you will need to clarify with your partner before each exchange which type of feedback you'd like to exchange as the commenting requirements differ.
Sending/Accepting a request:
1) Check the month's stories to find one that interests you in the section you have joined (Light and Fun or Moderate). Review warnings and feedback preferences to see if it would be a good fit.
2) Go to the month's Exchange chapter (ex: July exchange 2022) which contains an alphabetical list of usernames divided by the two reading sections.
