A/N: Thank you for 200+ reads! I honestly didn't think that people would read this random book, and it's so nice to see that they actually do. Thank you guys! By the way, I have no idea how to end this, so just... bear with me.

Second Person POV

You walk along the halls of the Avengers tower, looking at Bucky and Sam rushing to Steve's room before rushing into your own to get ready for the date tonight.

Steve asked you out on a date just a few nights ago, when you caught yourselves checking each other out. He was surprisingly extremely smooth about it.

You change into your clothes for the date and wait for scene o'clock to come. It's six thirty now, so you decide to watch some TV to pass the times.

If you had to be honest, you wouldn't admit to yourself how nervous you actually are. You're going out with the one and only Captain America, after all.

Seven came soon enough, and you hear a knock on your door and take a few seconds to check if you're at least decently-dressed. You open the door to reveal Steve in a suit and a suspicious-looking earpiece in his ear.

Why would he wear an earpiece? I mean, you two are just going out on a date to the restaurant you've been wanting to check out just a few blocks away.

"Whoa," he breathes out, his eyes scanning your body before immediately resting on your eyes, being the gentleman he is. "Darling, you look perfect tonight."

You hold back a blush, and can't help but think about how he used lyrics to compliment you. "You don't look too bad yourself, Rogers," you reply, keeping your chill.

"Shall we?"

[Time skip!]

Steve pulls the chair out for you and lets you sit down on it, pushing it in and going back to his spot in front of you.

You mutter a thanks as you see a waiter bringing the menu towards your table.

You both quickly order, unable to tone the excitement of learning new things about each other down.

"So... Y/N, what... um, hold on..." Steve pauses, readjusting the earpiece. "What do you think about the food?"

You tilt your head slightly in confusion, seeing as you both know that the food hasn't come out yet.

"Sorry! I mean, um, what do you think about this place?"

You think it's normal for Steve to be nervous, as he hasn't been on an actual date for more than seventy years. You're nervous, too, but it wasn't because you haven't been on a date for a while, it was because Steve Rogers is sitting right in front of you.

"It's fancy," you reply, taking in the view of the restaurant and the city that can be seen from the window beside your table.

Steve reserved a place near the windows because he thought that you'd like the scenery, aside from the fact that he wanted to see the lights from outside illuminate your face and just simply to admire how beautiful you are.

He chuckles, agreeing. "How do you like the view?"

"It's beautiful," you answer, paying attention to how some of the lights flicker in the distance.

"Not as beautiful as you," he says confidently.

Okay, something's definitely off. His words seem so prepared and so... fake. He hasn't sounded genuine since the time you arrive here.

"Are you okay?" you ask, worried. It's true that Steve is a naturally awkward person, but you're pretty sure that he's never been this awkward before. Besides, no matter how awkward things get, he's always able to be sincere.

"Huh? Yeah. Of course, why'd you ask?"

"You don't sound like you," you explain, eyeing the device in his ear. "Does that have anything to do with this?"

He flushes in embarrassment, his cheeks turning bright red. "I... uh, I jus wanted this to go well, you know? And I have this on 'cause I asked Sam and Bucky for help on what to say." He bites his lip nervously, moving his collar and touching the back of his neck.

You almost melt from the cuteness.

"I just... I just get so nervous around you, and my thoughts run around my mind at a hundred miles per hour, and I... I don't know. I didn't want to mess this up, but it seems like I just did." He looked down, frowning. "I'm sorry."

"Oh, Steve," you say, smiling even more. "You're too cute, you know that?"

"What?"

"You're too cute. That was probably the most adorable thing I've seen you do, and you know you're one adorable piece of shit."

"You're... you're not mad?"

"Why would I be mad?" You rub the back of his hand comfortingly. "We're good. I'm not mad at all, you dork," you tease, earning a laugh.

"That's good," he says, sighing in relief. "Sorry, gotta do something real quick." He presses the earpiece slightly, saying,"Alright, guys, I'll see you back at the tower, okay? I think I'll be fine for now," he pauses, hearing Sam cheer and Bucky 'aww'ing. "See ya."

You spend the whole night talking and eating delicious food, and you realize that Steve is really easy to talk and relate to, which makes conversations with him more fun.

Guess he doesn't really need those guys' help to steal your heart, after all.
