Toxicity

Your words are blue

spouting out of your mouth.

Lips parched & bleeding.

Your lies are heavy,

a box filled with nails

with which you lacerate your skin.

As you smile in vain,

poison dripping from your mouth.

Your eyes see crimson

when you look in the mirror

& your stone face stares back

in seeping silence.

You don't see right or wrong.

You see in colors of denial

& the toxicity is eating

my life away.
