"What are you about to go do," he asked me? "I've got to call Jovani, and let him know to be careful and then I'm going to go check on his girl. Maybe go see a little birdie too, who might have a clue to whose behind this," I answered before dapping Jyrell off. "Be safe brother," he said. "You too," I replied before heading out. Ebony may not have done this but, I still don't think she worked alone in robbing Poochie. I wonder if she'd be willing to talk if I got a little sweet on her, seeing as how fear doesn't work on her.

I had finally got off of work, and I was exhausted. The whole day I've felt drained after meeting with Kinzy. Its like that light headed incident earlier, made me realize my body hasn't been getting enough rest! I was just getting home from Starbucks and was so glad I didn't have to go to the club until tomorrow! I was basically running out the car and into the shower so this coffee bean stench would get off of me. It was actually starting to make me feel nausea's. I swear all I wanted to do after bumping into Nikko, and talking to Kinzy, was bury myself under my sheets on my air mattress and sleep off my day.
After my shower I put on my cocoa butter lotion and threw on an over sized t-shirt to sleep in. I didn't even feel like taking the time out to put on my face mask or wrap my hair. I would just have to live without. It wasn't long before I was snuggled up with a pillow and dozing off into a deep slumber, but that was interrupted as quickly as it was dreamt up. A knock at my door had me groaning and mumbling to the person to go away. "Ebony someone is downstairs to see you," I heard Brat whisper into the darkness of my room. "Who is it," I whine looking up at her dark frame in the doorway. "I don't know he wouldn't give me his name."
Automatically my mind went to Kollins, but how did he find out where I was staying? "What does he look like," I asked, sitting up now and forgetting about my drowsiness. I did not feel like getting slapped around or forced to steal because of Kollins. "Really pretty eyes, tattoos, he's really fine actually," she smiled widely. I squinted my eyes in curiosity and couldn't believe my ears. Throwing the cover off my body I went downstairs only to find that she wasn't joking. I pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Nikko was really here at my new place, but how?
"How did you..." I started but stopped when he greeted me with a sparkly smile. "I have my ways," he chuckled. Who the hell is this? "Umm," I started but didn't know how to finish. "Can I talk to you... Alone," he nodded at Brat behind me, who was just gazing at him before her eyes met mine and she blushed. "You okay," she asks? "Yeah thanks Brat," I wave as I push Nikko into the kitchen. Even though I shouldn't have feelings for him, I couldn't help but be jealous from Brat's actions.
"Do you want something to drink," I asked pulling at the back of my T-shirt. He chuckled at my effort, to keep my t-shirt from rising. "Sure," he said leaning against the counter. I nod and walk over to the fridge and look inside while trying to hold the back of my shirt at the same time. "I have water, beer, Gatorade, and Apple juice," I tell him. "Gatorade will be fine," he said stiffly. "I only drink the red and white, so...," I warned reaching in to grab him one. "Damn," I heard him mumble when I bent over to get his drink. I bit my lip, so as not to smile and stood up straight closing the fridge behind me. I silently handed him the drink as he looked at me seductively. It was like we hadn't even had sex this morning, because I wanted him bad! Remember what Kinzy said, Remember what Kinzy said! Instead of kissing him like I wanted I put some distance between us, and went to sit at the counter island.
"So um, it's a surprise to see you here. Did you come by for something specifically?" He shrugs and just watches me with those green eyes. Actually they look kind of hazel right now. Whatever color they were, they were mesmerizing. And his soft pink lips, damn I remember kissing those. I watched his lips as they moved, and forget to listen to whatever he was talking about. I cleared my head and caught the end of his statement. "Do you know anyone like that," he finished? "Anyone like what," I asked confused? "A dealer, supplier, thief, hustler. You know someone in the game," he answered as if trying to jog my memory. My first mind went to Kollins, I know he had a hand in the game. I don't know if he worked for someone or what he did exactly, but setting niggas up was just his side hustle.
