Chapter 3: Heartbeat

So, here is the next chapter of this story. Don't worry, for those who are reading it, I didn't forget about Emilia if you're wondering about her.

I think I'll keep this story short, and probably end it soon. Though not sure when or how many chapters yet. There are two reasons why I have come to that decision. The first one is that I don't know what else to put, since I pretty much covered everything I wanted. And the second one is that it is pretty hard for me at least, to write about real people. I don't know why exactly, but I think it's because I'm worried that I might end up messing up one of the people in the story, and just making it wrong. So it's a bit easier for me to write about anime/manga.

So, I've been thinking that maybe, some day I might rewrite this story once I get the confidence to really portray the people perfectly. I will not take this story down if that happens. Though I think that I might change my mind and change things a bit in this story, and add a bit more. Though I feel kind of reluctant since it would feel like Jamie is taking the place of Jae Eun now that she has her heart. And I don't want that. And I'm not sure if I want any pairings among them. THOUGH, I'll think about it some more, and if I can come up with some more ideas, I'll make this longer and try my best to bring out the personalities better. Any suggestions?

Anyways, I'm sorry for any spelling or grammar errors. Or if it just doesn't make sense, or you just don't like it. Also sorry, because I feel like I could have done better. I'm seriously lacking in this story.

Taking in a shaky breath, she took the few steps towards her mother, "Is this true?" She asked as she licked her now dry lips.

Gabriela nodded while using her sleeve to wipe away the tears that just wouldn't stop, "Yes."

'Is this a dream?' Jamie thought as she started to feel her own dark brown eyes being to sting. She blinked quickly trying to stop the stinging, but that only brought on the tears to flow.

As the tears streamed down her cheeks, she finally realized, "A new heart." She whispered, "I'm getting a new heart." She said as she tried to look at her mother through her tear blurred eyes.

Jamie broke done in tears at the thought that she was finally getting a heart. That she was going to get a chance at a new life. That she would get the chance to live longer.

Though in the back of her mind various thought lingered, thoughts that she had thought about many time before. Who had the heart belonged too? How did they die? How old were they? Did they have a family?

All these thoughts had constantly come to mind every time she thought if she ever got a new heart. Those thoughts would make her feel guilty. And in a way made her feel that she killed them herself, because they died, and she got their heart.

"We just have to set up an appointment with the doctor for final exams, and then decide on the day for when to get you in to surgery. Though it has to be soon." Gabriela said as she clutched the phone in her right hand.

Jamie nodded and smiled at her mother, "Yeah."

"This surgery we'll have to set it as soon as possible." The doctor said practically right after walking into the room where Jamie and her mother were, "By the looks of your chart, it needs to be done soon." The doctor said once again.
