Audrey's POV

Homework... homework... homework... DONE! I finally finished homework! I flopped on my bed and pushed away my book bag. I went to my contact list and called Daniel. I got him on call, and within rings, he picked up.

"Hello?" Daniel asked.

"Hi!" I replied cheerfully.

"Audrey! Hi my gurl! What is up?"

"You sounded like a girl," I laughed and so did he, "I just finished homework."

"What?! You're so fast! I know I haven't."

"Oh, I'm so sorry. Am I bothering you?"

"Bothering me? Oh pa-lease! I'm bored as hell! Plus, I have some questions from Science that I don't understand."

"Okay, ask ahead then."

He asked a couple questions and I answered him. (A/N: I'm 13 okay? I don't know senior high school stuff.)

"Thank you so much, Audrey." He thanked me.

"No thank you. Are you done with homework now?"

"Yyyep! I'm done."

"Congrats! Wanna Facetime? It's kinda boring just listening to you."

"Uh, okay."

I hung up and Facetimed him. Almost immediately, he picked up, and I saw his face.

"Daniel!" I exclaimed smiling.

"Audreyy!" He copied me.

"I wanna talk to you about something."

"Well, go ahead."

"Before we start, please keep this between the two of us."

"Okay. Just wait a minute I need to close the door and windows."

He left his phone and I heard a door slam and windows close. Then, a sound of a bed bounce, and I saw his face again.

"Alright. I'm back so go ahead."

"This is about Devan. I *sigh* I really like him, but then he's dating my ex-bestie and she has changed a lot as you can see."

"Mhmm."

"I'm trying so hard to get over him and I can see improvements. But when he smiles at me, I automatically fall for him again."

"Oh."

"He helped me get over my parents' divorce, filmed a video with me and my sister and Collins, seen Collins and my sister kiss... a lot of things. These all happened within two days. I've known Devan for four days now, and I'm falling for him, but then he doesn't have feelings for me at all. I'm just a friend. We were really close for just two days, and after two more days, I feel like he's already someone else."

"Aww don't cry."

I didn't realise I had a tear drip off my eye. I felt it roll down my cheek. I wiped it off and smiled at Daniel. He smiled back and me. I feel like he was with me. I know Daniel and I are separated be distance from our houses, but I could still feel like he's near me.

"Audrey, Devan has changed a lot," Daniel said, "I have known him for the longest time since we were 5th grade. We have been friends for the longest time among the pack. We watched each other grow. As I've seen, he's changed a ton. From a normal boy, to the most popular kid at school, to now, a douche. I don't know if I should stay by his side anymore, cause I feel like he will be a bad influence. I wanna turn back to the normal boy I was back then before high school. I don't want to be popular, cause popular people tend to change. I'll be at your side. I wanna be at your side. To protect you and do what best friends do, right? Now, you have to sleep. It's already 10."
