"Have you talked to your pops" my mom asked while take a mug out of the cabinets
"No i haven't seen him lately, why?" I asked, i wasn't really close to my father like that till he started to drink and word around town its the he has a new girl.
"Well you better, go speak to him because then you never know when will be his last day in this earth" she got her lunch bag and stuff "Think about it Ben" she walked out.
I got out my phone and decided to call my pops
"hello" a raspy voice answered
"hey pops, can we meet up" i asked while staring at nothing
"Yeah sure, ill send you the address of where i'm staying at"
"okay" i hung up, and then got a message from him. I got my stuff and then walked towards my car.

"so who do you live with pops?" i asked sitting on the couch while eating some Chinese food and watching a football game
"My girl, her daughter and I, you should come and visit often and get to meet them" I nodded while grabbing my beer and drinking some
"Do you have a job?" I asked him and he nodded
"Yeah son, i worked at a construction place near community college"
"i'm proud of you dad"
"Thanks son, we should hangout more"
"Yeah sure" I said shaking my head and then the front door open, i turn my attention to the door, looking at Riley walked in, and went straight to her room. I didn't even thought that she would be my father's stepdaughter.
"This little girl don't even have manners" My dad mumbled
"Well i better get going, i'll see you around pop." I said getting up
"Alright son" we gave each other a hug, and then walked out.
On my way down to the front door, I got in my car and my phone rang. I picked it up without looking at the name
"Yo" I said turning the car on
"where you at?" Ricky said, and i drove off
"Just left my pops house, what y'all up to"
"Come to the studio, we about to smoke"

"You got the results?" My grandma asked thru the phone
"Yes its in my backpack, I'll probably open it later" I said while looking thru my closet for my Timbs
"Okay, well call me when you read the results" I heard a knock on my door
"Mama, I'll call you later" when she said 'Okay' I hung up, I got up from the floor and open the door revealing my step dad.
"You don't have manner?" he asked sipping some of his beer
"Yes I do, why do you ask?" I asked smartly, and he shucked, sipping his beer one last time
"You're very disrespectful" He walked closer to me and grab my arm "You saw me with my son and didn't even say nothing" I didn't know that Benjamin was his son, I thought he was a friend or some, but Benjamin being his son never cross my mind.
"When I dont say hey to you when you're with your friends it's a problem and when i do its a problem agai-" I got cut off by him putting his hands on me again.
"You have a smart mouth little girl" He shucked walking away
"You're aren't even my father for me to respect you!" I yelled at him, giving him a last look before slamming my door, locking the door.
I walked towards my closer and got some clothes, putting it in my sleeping bag. I made sure i had everything i needed before walking out
"where you think you going?" he asked, and i just kept walking to the front door and left, and while i was waiting for the bus i decided to open the envelope.
I read the paper slowly, and then paused when I saw 'You're pregnant' on the sheet of paper. Everything around me stopped, its like it was happening slow motion.
'I'm having a baby' I kept repeating in my head, everything seem like it was falling apart.
