Phil Lester
His curly hair fluttered in the wind and his eyes sparkled. We were sat on the roof of his apartment complex
"This is my favorite place to go when I need to think, when I'm upset, when I need to be alone, et cetera" He smiled sadly, and I realized the twinkle in his eyes were tears. A drop fell down his cheek. Immediately I approached him.
"Can I give you a hug?" I asked. Dan sniffed and nodded. I wrapped my arms around him like I'd wanted to do for so long. He smiled and leaned into the hug. Dan waited a few minutes before talking.
"It's just so hard. Trying to be a perfect student. Having to set a good example for my little brother. Having to be so good all the time." He said. I nodded and cautiously put my hand on his. He didn't stop me. "I just wanna be a normal kid, not this pristine example of what everyone expects me to be" Dan sighed and sat up. "Sorry, you don't need to hear about my problems. They aren't yours to deal with." He shook his head to himself.
'I don't mind, really. What are friends for, am I right?" Dan looked at me and sighed again. I could tell he wasn't telling me something, but I didn't want to pry. "Is there anything you wanna talk about?" He paused and took another glance at me, before running over and crashing his lips on mine. Startled, I stepped back.
"S-sorry. I didn't mean to. I-I just-" I kissed him, feeling the tears on his cheeks. He kissed back, then pulled away.
"Don't be sorry," I said.
