Today
Call me
Can't tell you what it would mean
To hear your voice
Above my own screams
Against the crushing of my soul
In it's own eternity
I've heard my voice
Drowning
In pain
Though I know we gulped down different waters
Call me so that I feel the same
Call me at least to taste it's name
I've been happy too long
I want to hold you
While you sing your sad songs
And if the words catch in your throat
I'll hum the tune
Let me lick the wounds
Even as the blood overflows
I'm here
I'm here.
