Whether I still love you
I would say yes
For once love is released
It cannot un-love
It, in it's delightful glory
Grasps greedily
When given chance

Would reluctantly let go
But linger
No, the love I gave you cannot fade

It still digs into my sides
And holds my eyes open in the night
To only dream of you

So if you asked me today, of course I would say yes
To the love of having loved you
In your fullness
And you having excepted my love
Latched hooks which only now release me
To reveal scars of the time we had.
