1.13 Sweet Dreams

I sat up "sure. about what?"

Serena "have you talked to Nate?"

I shook my head "no. why?"

Serena brushed it off "i don't know, he wanted to talk to you"

she turned around to leave.

Me "Hey, S., i saw you at the ball with him. what happened?"

Serena "it's something you should hear from him"

Then she walked out.

Suddenly my phone rang.

I looked at it and answered "speaking of the devil"

Nate asked amused "you were talking about me?"

i nodded amused"yeah, sadly we were "

Nate "cool"

I frowned "you sound weird, what's wrong?"

Nate "Can i come over?"

I nodded "sure"

The door bell rang and i opened it.

Nate rushed inside and i closed the door.

Me "Nate, you okay?"

Nate "i got my father arrested."

My jaw dropped "Because of the coke?"

He didn't turn around.

I asked confused and walked over to him "you okay ?"

No answer .

I walked around him and put a hand on his cheek to make him look at me.

My jaw dropped when I saw a cut on his lips " Oh my god. What happened? Did you get into a fight?"

He shook his head.

My eyes widened "your dad ??"

He looked down.

Me "oh god. why?"

Nate "i called him out. And now my mother is on her way to bail him out? and apparently we can't afford one million Dollars anymore"

I asked confused  "What? Why??"

He shrugged "i don't know"

I sighed and took my hand away "and what is with Blair?"

Nate "We had a fight"

Me "about what?"

Nate changed the subject "hey, can i stay here?"

I nodded confused "sure. Serena and Mom are on dates"

Nate looked at me "yeah, Dan told me about it. Asked me for advice"

I raised an eyebrow "ask you for advice? you?"

Nate shrugged "He needed help with how to do it right"

me "but you've never had sex with Blair"

He nodded and shot me a look. 

My eyes widened "oh. Us"

He nodded.

Me "Well, at least one thing turned out good from our night"

Nate "sorry about that"

I shook my head "doesn't matter. you can sleep on the couch if you want. The couch in my bedroom because i don't think my mom would like to see you in the living room"

He nodded "thanks"

I nodded and we walked into my bedroom.

Nate looked around "nice room"

Me "don't make this weirder than it already is"

He nodded. I walked into my closet and grabbed a pillow and a blanket. When I walked back into the room I saw Nate only in boxers.

I looked away "oh, sorry"

Nate "nothing you haven't seen before"

Me "you've been working out. congrats"

I handed him the stuff but didn't look at him.

Midnight.

I sighed and turned around in bed.

Nate whispered  "Can't sleep"

I jumped a little.

Then I grabbed my pillow and moved my head to the other end of the bed, where my feet normally lie, so i could be closer to Nate.

I whispered "Nate"

Nate "yeah"

Me "What was going on with you and Serena? i mean at the ball,what happened?"

Nate shook his head"nothing. I told her to tell me where Blair was without those damn clues but she got mad that i didn't play the game"

i raised an eyebrow "really?"

Nate "yeah"

Me "Nate"

Nate "hm"

Me "I'm sorry about your father"

Nate "don't be"

Me "night"

Nate "sweet drams"
