and it keeps her awake at night.
the burning under her skin
and between her legs
keeps her mind screaming
as the sun disappears
and stains the sky as black as her mind.
she has hellfire in her mind

his eyes leering down at her
and his hands touching her
keeps her nightmares from leaving
as her eyes keep a vigil through the night,
her exhausted breathing the only sound.
she has hellfire in her soul
and it keeps her awake at night.
the memories of saying "no"
and the memories of him hearing "yes"
keeps the guilt stained on her skin
as she scrubs away at her skin,
the raw redness never erasing the truth.
she has hellfire in her veins
and it ignites her.
she has hellfire in her mind
and it burns her.

and it consumes her.
