Chapter 10

call*

"hey lisa. everything okay?" I ask.

"yes i was calling to see how lilys first day of school went"

"lilyyy grandma wants to talk to you" I yell. She comes running in. I hand her the phone.

"Hi grandma" she says.

"Hi sweets. how did your first day go"

"good" she says smiling.

"did you have fun"

"ya" lily says.

"yes maam" i say looking at lily.

"yes maam" lily says.

"thats good baby im glad. I just wanted to call and see how it went. I love you"

"love you too grandma" she says.

"come see me soon. Okay?"

"I will" lily says smiling.

"okay let me speak to mommy" she says. lily hands me back the phone.

"Hey" I say.

"She seems like she had a good day" She says.

"she did" i say smiling.

"Im glad! whats gray doing" she asks.

"hes sleeping. I dont think hes feeling to well" I say walking to the kitchen.

"the flus going around maybe hes catching something"

"maybe. I gave him some medicine a couple hours ago. I might give him another dose in a couple of minutes" I say wiping the kitchen  counter down.

"Okay, do you need help with anything? the house? lily?" she asks.

"I might need your help picking lily up from school tomorrow" i say.

"Im working and grayson probably wont be able to because of how hes feeling"

"thats fine, I can pick her up and then take her back with me and wait till you get off work."

"awesome! Thank you" I say smiling.

"Anytime babe. Let me know how he his later" she says.

"i will"

"talk to you later. love you"

"love you too. bye"

end of call*

"mommy can we go get ice cream" lily says coming up to me.

"yes. go get your shoes on" I say smiling.

"okay" she says running upstairs. I walk into the bed room to check on grayson.

"baby" i say moving his hair out of his face. He looks a little pale and hes warm.

"yeah" he says with his eyes still closed.

"you okay" I say sitting down next to him.

"yeah just not feeling so well" He says cuddling with my leg.

"me and lily are going out for ice cream. do you want me to pick up anything" I ask rubbing his back.

"no im good" he says with his eyes still closed.

"okay. ill be back. I love you" i say kissing his forehead.

"love you to babe"

"lily you ready?" i yell while grabbing my purse.
