This advice is a little mainstream, but it's probably one of the most important pieces of advice u can get so in short, instead of grieving from making a mistake, take that mistake and learn from it. Whether it be sports, school, or relationships, it don't matter. It's literally the definition of insanity to keep trying something over and over and expecting different results and I myself have learned that the hard way.

It's good to follow your heart, and yea maybe my heart told me to try and get Hailey back even when I knew it wasn't gonna work, but there has to be a balance of power between your heart and your brain. If you let only one dictate your decisions you'll find your self making decisions that in the long run will hurt, or you'll find yourself making decisions in the long run that might make you feel like you're getting what you want but you're not. Whatever you do don't let people force you into doing things you don't want to do. When you are faced with making a decision, be confident in your selection, know that whatever you choose is the choice you truly want. Now it's ok, in fact it's crucial to understand the outcome but it's not ok to overthink it because that will only cause more grief and feed anxiety within you. I have a good example of making the right decision in my own life here.

I've been going on the app Kik recently and my friend introduced me to like some sort of "meet and chat" feature on it. So I just decided, "what the hell, I guess I'll try it," so far about 4 or 5 girls have contacted me, each of them asking for nudes of myself.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a teenage boy, I have hormones, when you get a hot girl, who's horny asking you to mess around with her your first instinct is to say, yes. However I've LEARNED FROM MISTAKES, that acting impulsively, won't produce the best outcome. So I took a minute and thought about what was really going on here, and I decided besides the like 5 minutes of fun, there's really nothing good that can come out of it.

It feels good afterwards knowing that you made a good decision instead of a poor one. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes it's a part of human nature but it's how we learn and recover, that is what builds character. So you must ask yourself, do you want to be recognized with good character or bad character?
