Chapter 12

Eliza was sleeping while Erika was in her bed awake.

Her mom came into their room and Erika pretended that she was asleep.

When she walked back out, Erika got up quietly.

She put on her boots and opened the window.

Erika climbed out the window and saw Zed.

"Oh hey. I thought u we're turning me down" Zed said.

"Sorry. My mom was checking on me cuz she saw I was still awake. But when she came back in right now I had to pretend I was asleep so she'd stop" Erika said.

"Oh" "Besides. I would never turn u down" Erika said and Zed smiled at her.

"Ok. Let's go" Zed said.

Zed was planning to ask out Erika tonight.

Zed took Erika to the zombie light garden.

Zed turned on the lights and Erika smiled.

"This is my favorite spot in Zombie town. It's so beautiful" Erika said.

"But not as beautiful as u" Zed said.

Erika smiled. "Classic respond" Erika said and they laughed.

"Any specific reason for coming to this specific spot" Erika asked.

"Nope. I just wanted to take u somewhere beautiful" Zed said.

"And whys that" Erika asked.

"U know this is my favorite place in Zombie town too. And it is beautiful. I just like being somewhere beautiful with a very beautiful girl." Zed said and Erika blushed looking down.

Erika looked back at him smiling. "So... can u show me ur pink hair?" Zed asked.

"Did u just bring me here to see my pink hair?" Erika asked crossing her arms.

"No. But I want to see it" Zed said.

"No. I told u it's ugly" Erika said.

"And I told u that everything about u is beautiful." Zed said.

Erika sighed. "Fine" Erika said and showed Zed the strip of pink hair.

Zed looked at it. "I told u. Beautiful." Zed said and Erika smiled.

"And also, I've already seen it" Zed said.

"What? How?" "When u were hugging Addison and talking to her, I saw it" Zed said.

"Oh. Maybe I should be more careful with that" Erika said.

"U don't have to. No one cares if ur different. Well, us zombies don't" Zed said.

"So I've been noticing." Erika said.

"I mean, we're different too" Zed said.

"Yea." Erika said.

"Are u sure officers aren't like checking around?" "I'm always out. They're never walking around checking if any zombies are out past curfew" Zed said.

"Ok. I'm trusting u" Erika said.

"This is new to me. Staying in Zombie town for idk how long" Erika said.

"Well u wouldn't have to be staying in Zombie town if it weren't for who ever messed up ur z band" Zed said.

"I've had bad days, and this day is the worst day of my life" Erika said.

"Especially cuz I almost hurt Addison." Erika said.

"Could u not prevent ur self? I did that with Bucky" Zed said.
