Chapter 11

"No?" Her mother asked.

"I'm not going with u if I have to wear a wig and makeup." Erika said.

"Young lady u better get in this car" Her mom said.

"I'd rather stay here and be my true self then go back home and be someone I'm not" Erika said.

"Fine u wanna stay. Stay." Her mom said.

"But if u change ur mind, don't expect me to take u back" Her mom said.

"I was wrong to adopt u. People think I'm crazy or dumb for doing that" Her mom said and

Erika's eyes got watery.

"Mom u don't mean that" Erika said.

Her mom looked at her and got in the car.

She drove off and left Erika crying.

Zed hugged her.

"I'm so sorry she said that" Zed said.

"She wishes she never adopted me." Erika said while she cried into his chest.

"But maybe she didn't mean it. I think she just wants u to go home" Zed said.

With Addison
"Mom why would u say that" Addison asked.

"I regret it" Her mom said.

"Mom stop the car. Ima go see if she's ok" Addison said.

Her mom stopped the car and Addison got out.

"Be home soon" Addison said and started running back to Zombie Town.

With Erika and Zed
"She said it so harshly. It sounded like she meant it" Erika said.

"Look at me" Zed said and Erika looked at Zed.

"Everything's gonna be ok. She might come back later to apologize" Zed said.

"Maybe ur right" Erika said and looked down.

"Hey" Zed said. He picked up Erika's head with his index finger.

Zed started leaning in and so did Erika.

Addison could see Zed and Erika.

She stopped running when she saw them.

They were gonna kiss.

But before they could kiss their parents called them.

"Erika dinner!" Eliza's mom called.

"Zed! Ur food is getting cold!" Zevon called.

"Guess we better get going." Erika said.

"Wanna go for a walk after" Zed asked.

"We have a curfew" "We'll sneak out" Zed said.

"Ok then. See u later" Erika said.

They were both walking to their houses.

Addison didn't want to cry. She walked to Eliza's house.

When she knocked Erika opened it.

"Addy? It's getting late. Shouldn't u be at home" "I just wanted to come and make sure u were ok from what mom said" Addison said.

"Yea. Zed told me maybe she said it cuz she was upset I wasn't going home" Erika said.

"Well I came by to make sure ur ok. And I guess I are. Hope to see u soon" Addison said.

The girls hugged and Erika closed the door.

Addison walked to Zeds house next.

She knocked and Zevon opened it.

"Hi. I was hoping to talk to Zed" Addison said.

"Ok. He'll be out in a minute" Zevon said.

Zevon walked to the dining room and left the door open.

A few seconds later Zed came to the door.

"Hey what's up?" Zed asked.

"Can I talk to u?" Addison asked.

"Yea" Zed said.

He came out and closed the door behind him.

"U said that we weren't meant to be together because I'm a human and ur a zombie" Addison said.

"Yea. I wish people didn't think that, too" Zed said.

"I wanna know. Did u ever like me?" Addison asked.

"Is that even a question?" Zed asked.

"Just. Answer it" Addison said.

"Of course and I still do" Zed said.

"Zed... do u like Erika?" Addison asked with her eyes getting watery.

"What?" "Do u like Erika? And I need u to be honest with me" Addison said.

Zed sighed. "Yes. Yes I do" Zed said.

Addison looked down about to cry.

"But I like u" Zed said.

"I saw u guys about to kiss" Addison said.

"And when I saw u I thought maybe u didn't like me anymore or maybe u never liked me in the first place." Addison said.

"Addison. I do like u" "But I just can't stand that u like someone else. And it's Erika." Addison said.

"But u don't know for sure that she even likes me back" Zed said.

"If she was leaning to kiss u too that probably means she does. Or she got caught in the moment" Addison said.

Zed just stayed quiet.

"Zed. If u like Erika a lot... I think u should ask her out" Addison said.

"But I don't want to do that to u. Cuz I also like u" Zed said.

"But we can't be together either." Addison said.

"Addy I like u. But I rlly like Erika" Zed said.

"I know. I can tell. I've always noticed how u looked at her and how u looked at me. I noticed how u two smile at each other. I just ignored it tho." Addison said.

"But seeing u about to kiss I can tell, u rlly like her." Addison said.

Addison wiped her tears away. "I think u guys would make the cutest couple ever" Addison said.

They laughed.

"I say. Ask her out" Addison said smiling.

"Are u sure ur ok with me if I ask her out?" Zed asked.

"Yea. Anything for my sister." Addison said.

Zed hugged Addison and she hugged back.

"I still like u tho" "Yea I know. But u like her more" Addison said.

"Thank u" Zed said.

"No problem. I should go" Addison said.

"Oh yea." Zed said.

"Bye" Addison said and walked away.

"Bye" Zed said.

Addison walked out of Zombie town and tear went down her cheek.

She wiped it away and walked back home.

Here's another chapter. I think I'll have another one out soon. But the weekend is coming and Ima update more.

(Edit: Maybe not soon because I thought I published this chapter earlier and I didn't.)

Or maybe not because I'm kinda having some writers block.

By the way, let's talk about the cheer competition. Ima gonna pretend it's probably about a week or a few days away. So I can write things of my own stuff.
