AVA's POV

----------------

Kill me. Just throw a brick at my head please. I'm not even kidding. Anything would be better than spending 45 minutes of my morning with the prick in front of me. The devil's incarnation is in front of me staring at me with those beautiful blue eyes. How could someone so mean be so good lucking. Ugh again, curse my damn hormones. Thankfully, my English teacher, Mr. Farfakus, snapped me out of the trance I was in.

"You two are late, give me your passes and have a seat near the back."the old fat teacher continued, "Now, Chase continue your reasoning on why you decided you can speak whenever higher authorities are speaking."

I listened in on Mr. Farfukus trying to lecture Chase, but seemed failing miserably. Chase kept smirking at me, while looking me up and down like the wild animal he was. Soon, I found myself sitting next to Peter near the middle of the room.

"Listen Farfuck, I don't get why you even bother talking during my conversation." Chase said smirking. I swear that boy only smirks. I've never seen him smile since i've been here.

Mr. Farfukus seemed losing his temper because his head was turning red. "CHASE. We. Er are not done here!"Then he proceeded to storm out of the room. For a teacher, you'd think he wouldn't act like a kid.

As soon as our teacher left, once again I felt all eyes on me. Then I heard all kinds of questions, and comments related to me. I felt so overwhelmed, I'm pretty sure my face was going pale. I mean I can be confident at times, but when all the attentions on me, it stresses me out. Peter must've noticed and he laid a comforting hand on my shoulder while saying to the class, "Guys, she's new give her some space."

I was so surprised on how many people listened to Peter, I knew he was the student body president, but the way people obeyed him seemed surreal. Peter said he should step out to make sure Mr. Farfukus was alright, seeming he had been gone for about 10 minutes. Of course, Chase seemed this was the perfect opportunity to approach me.

"So, babe, how's your morning been?"Chase said too sweetly.

"One, don't call me that. Two, my morning was perfect until you decided to speak to me." I grumbled.

"Someone's feisty today," Chase said leaning into my ear, "I like it." I slapped his shoulder as hard as I could, but of course me being weak, it had no effect on him whatsoever.  Just as I was about to come up with a feisty remark, the bell rang and saved me from kicking his ass.

---

The rest of the morning went by smoothly, then soon came lunch. I hadn't seen Lizzie or Kiki all day, so I had to figure out where I'd sit for lunch. I hated the idea of sitting alone for even a minute, believe it or not, if I sat alone i'd think people would pity me, and I hate that feeling.

Once I walked in, I stood in the lunch line waiting for food. The girls in front of me began speaking about a party happening this weekend. The girls turned around and the ginger said, "You're Ava, right?"

"Oh, uhm yeah." I said shyly. The girls gaze on me made me feel so intimidated by her. She was so pretty, and I got nervous whenever someone beautiful would look at me.

"I'm Abigail, and my friend here is Mia. Welcome to Pacific Vista!" She said grinning at me.

"Thanks, do you guys mind if I sit with you, until my friends get here?" I said looking at my shoes.

"Duh! Trust me, sitting alone sucks! I've been there before girly." Mia just nodded smiling.

We payed for our lunch, and I followed them to a table where Kiki and Lizzie were seated at. Lizzie waved at me excitedly, and Kiki had a puzzled look on her face until she realized who I was.

"Wait, you know Liz and Kiki?" Mia said to me confused.

"Yeah I met Lizzie this summer, and Lizzie told me about Kiki." I said smiling.

"Phew! Saves us from the awkward greetings." Abigail said dramatically.

The three of us sat down, and we all immediately clicked. We began talking about cute boys, and I eventually told them about how Chase was my neighbor, and how Peter saved my ass. Then Jasper came into conversation, and Abigail thought he was really cute. They would be cute together, to be honest.

"Ugh, volleyball tryouts are after school. This years coach is gonna be a huge bitch." Mia said and Abigail agreed. "AVA! You should SO try out! It'd be tons of fun."

"I don't know.. It's been a while since I played." I said unsure.

"You're doing it, end of discussion." Mia said with a serious look on her face.

"Good luck with them Ava, they're super competitive and huge pains in the asses when it comes to sports." Kiki said laughing, while Abigail threw a fry at her.

"I didn't even bring any of my volleyball gear with me." I tried wheedling my way out, "Maybe next year! Hehe."

"I have extra knee pads." Abigail said, then Mia joined in, "I've got extra spandex, t-shirt, and shoes., Guess you're doing it now."

We began talking about nonsense, when Peter came towards our table. "Omg, Peter's coming how does my hair look?" Mia said. "Do I have fries off my braces?" Lizzie continued.

"Hello ladies," Peter said giving his boyish grin, "Ava." He said smiling widely. "I was, um, wondering if you were doing anything after school?" Peter said while rubbing the back of his neck.

"Well I have-" soon I was cut off by Lizzie's rambling.

"She has Volleyball!"

Peter seemed even more uncomfortable, "Oh I didn't know you were trying out," he continued, "Are you busy afterwards?"

I was about to speak but was soon cut off again by Kiki this time, "She's absolutely free, pick her up from here at 5!"

"Oh ok, can I get your number? To text you of course for the date." Peter laughed.

This time I spoke for myself, "Sure pass me your phone." I entered my number and he gave me a quick wave. "I'll see you later tonight."

"Ok! How lucky are you!?" Abigail gushed.

"Omg! He's so hot! Get some!" Mia clapped.

"I hope you're eating something other than ice cream, if you know what I mean." Kiki winked at me.

"I hate all of you." I said laughing.

"So uhm, anyone know why the hell Chase was sending us daggers the entire time Peter was over here?" Lizzie said in a quieter voice.

"Wait, hold up, WHAT?" I added confused

"Yeah he looked like he was getting ready to kill someone." Lizzie said confused. "Then he left Trish alone once he saw you put your number in Peters phone."

"He was probably staring at someone else, I gotta go guys. I have Chemistry next." I said grabbing my bags while waving to the girls. Could Chase have been staring at me? There's not way he could've been jealous, he has Trish. She's much more his type, not me. There's just not way.
