Ok dudes so like imma rant about my problems for a bit. Ok so my best friend's friend who she's pretending to be in a relationship with (literally out of pity. He's the only one in his friend group who doesn't have a significant other, so she was like 'fine I'll date you for a week'), um he's an artist too, but he keeps like trashing on my art. I literally cried last night because of it, but my friend didn't want us to fight so I just sat there and took it. (Oh yeah him and I both dislike each other, that's why we were fighting at first, but then I just gave up and let him say whatever, which is why I ended up crying.) I mean he did warm up to me a bit because I stopped arguing back, but he just kept on criticizing and critiquing my art. and I was also just starting to be confident in it. But hey, at least I don't think he hates me anymore. Also, I talked about it to my teacher, who is a professional artist, and he was like "wth no idk what that kid is talking about your art is amazing" so that sorta cheered me up. But apparently my art is stiff? And in my drawings the shoulders don't attach correctly to the torso? And my pictures are boring? And my drawings aren't anatomically correct? And they don't follow the 'rules of art'? Art has rules? I never knew that. My teacher (the same one who is an artist) said there isn't. Welp. So to sum it up, my best friend's friend is being a jerk, but my teacher is cool, and now I'm insecure again. Whoop whoop.
