The next day all Anya could think about was not getting in trouble again. She took Gleb's warning seriously. She was afraid of what might happen if she were to disobey the Bolsheviks. Anya was sweeping then she heard familiar voices.
"Anya!"
She looked up and saw Vlad and Dimitri. She stepped away from them.
"Anya? What's wrong?"
"Stay away from me. All you wanted to do was use me and try to make me think I'm someone I'm not."
She turned to walk away but Dimitri grabbed her arm.
"Anya stop."
"Let me go. Help someone help me!"
She screamed. She saw Gleb turn and see her trying to get away. He ran through the crowd of people to Anya. Gleb grabbed Dimitri and threw him to the ground. He then grabbed Vlad  before he could walk away. He motioned to some other Bolsheviks to take them away. Anya  had tears running down her face.
"Anya are you alright?"
"O Gleb."
She ran in to his arms. She cried into his jacket.
"Shhh it's alright your safe."
Gleb wrapped his arms around her and rocked her gently.
"Anya let me take you home. Where do you live?"
Anya looked up at him but said nothing.
"Please don't tell me you live on the streets."
Anya looked down at her feet.
"My poor Anya. Come with me I will take you to my home."
Gleb walked Anya down the streets of Leningrad and to his home.
Anya felt safe in Gleb's arms.
