"Poppy, I'm choking." Ivy coughed, her face turning red.
"What?" I asked her, holding my bottled water. Fact: I hated water, I just thought if I held it around it would make me look healthier. "What do you mean, you're choking?"
"I ate a peanut. I'm allergic to peanuts. Didn't you know?" She croaked, her eyes watering.
"More like, didn't you know? If you're allergic to peanuts, then why did you eat them in the first place?"
"Don't you question me!" Ivy snapped. "Call an ambulance?"
"Now is that really nessacar-"
"CALL AN AMBULENCE!" Ivy screamed, coughing.
-
Ivy stayed in hospital for only a few hours. Luckily it wasn't too serious, but I didn't understand why she swallowed the damn peanut in the first place. "Hello Dan." I greeted as he opened the door to the apartment and kicked of his shoes.
"What the hell happened to Ivy?" He questioned, slumping down on the sofa next to me.
"She ate a peanut." I informed him.
"Why? She's allergic to peanuts."
Ladies and gentlemen, it was at this exact moment when I gave Dan Howell the most unamused glance in my entire life. Eyebrows squinted, folded arms. Everything. Dan chuckled. "Poppy you look cute when you're mad."
I felt my cheeks burning up. "I'm not, I'm not mad." I scoffed. "Or cute. For that matter."
Dan opened his mouth but then closed it as Candy pounced in the living room, on her tip-toes. Her blonde hair was tied up into a bun on the top of her head and she was wearing a bright pink tutu, then underneath a pale pink leotard. She looked like a ballerina! "Hey babe." She grinned, pecking Dan's forehead.
"Hi." He mumbled with a straight face.
Phil and Ivy entered the living room. Phil's arm was tangled around Ivy's waist and he was out of breath. "Whoa, what happened here?" I raised my eyebrows and Dan winked at the couple. Ivy shook her head, her short brown hair tossing around. On the plus side, her face wasn't swollen and she didn't look... well, in pain, to say the least.
"Phil just picked me up." Ivy said and I raised my eyebrows further. "And that's all. That's all that happened, Poppy." She said through gritted teeth.
"I'm going to the bathroom." Phil announced and kissed Ivy on her cheek, like he was leaving to go on holiday, and not just to the bathroom.
"How was your day?" Dan asked me.
"Apart from Ivy needing to go to hospital," I started and Ivy tutted at my comment. "It's been okay. Oh... and you're fans, they're.... interesting." I shrugged.
"Oh god. What have they done?" Dan sighed, like his fans were always up to some sort of mischief. "You haven't found any fan fictions have you? No... not the chair fic..." He was jumping to conclusions.
"Okay, first of all, no I haven't found any fan fictions. And the chair fic? You've made me curious. I'll have to check it out later."
"Don't!" Dan yelled.
"NO!" Ivy screamed.
"Please, don't do it Poppy!" Phil shouted from the bathroom.
"Way to tone down the curiosity." I sighed, sarcasm dripping from my tongue. "Dan, you're fans are sweet, at the end of the day. They all seem to be really nice. It's just I read a few hate comments. But it's okay, I swear. It's nice to see your fans are so enthusiastic about your work."
"I know," Dan said. "The fans are sweet. Don't let the hate get to you. If it upsets you don't fret to tell me, okay?"
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Oh my god! Stop flirting!" I swatted him playfully.
"Ooh, sorry, but it would be different if I was Augustus Waters."
"You're right Dan. It would be different. Why? Because Gus is dead! How could you dare bring up such a touchy topic like that?" I sniffed, emotionally.
"Jeez, sorry." Dan said.
"Pipe down." I counselled. "I was only kidding."
Dan nodded briefly and to break the tension, Phil walked out the bathroom, just in luck.
"Well I'm going to bed." Ivy yawned and Phil nodded in agreement.
"Okay but Ivy?"
"Yes Poppy?"
"Don't eat peanuts."
"Shut up."
