Chapter Fifteen

Alicia's POV:

The next morning, Mr. Peterson had told us to meet near the ski lift with all our equipment. Waking up early, I followed his instructions.

I still had not forgotten what happened with Harvey and just thinking about it embarrassed me. I had decided early that instead of letting on to how I really felt, I'd just be mean to him. Hopefully, he wouldn't think I liked him. I mean, I seriously didn't like him that way anyways…did I?

Before I could think more about Harvey, Mr. Peterson's shrill voice broke through my thoughts.

"You just have all the fun you can today, alright my little angels?" He smiled widely.

This statement earned him a chorus of grunts from everyone.

"Great!" He cheered, unfazed by everyone's lack of enthusiasm. "Now, my lovelies, watch me!"

Mr. Peterson pushed off the ski hill, sliding down quickly. He turned his head, smiling as us the entire time until he slid straight into a tree at the bottom, landing with a painful crack.

"…HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Everyone burst into a fit of laughter, Steve laughing the loudest.

"Oh my god!" Janice clung onto my arm. "I…can't…breathe!" She panted loudly between giggles.

All of a sudden, Steve stopped laughing as his eyes widened. "Shit…HE'S NOT MOVING!"

Everyone abruptly stopped laughing, and started panicking. We all slid down the hill carefully and reached Mr. Peterson while others got medical help. After a few minutes, Peterson was carried out on a stretcher.

"Well, at least we know he's going to be okay now." I shrugged.

Minutes later, all the students were directed to the smaller slopes for a bit of practice so we could avoid getting into any accidents. It was then where I had my first encounter with him.

"Idiot." Harvey muttered as he passed by me.

"Jackass." I retorted.

"Retard."

"Loser."

"Dumbass."

"Rapist!"

"…WHAT?" Harvey glared.

"That's right!" I stuck out my tongue. "Cower before me!" I took a step, forgetting I head a ski still on and fell flat on my face. This caused Harvey to once again, laugh at my misery.

"HAHAHAHAHA!"

"SHUT UP!" I snapped. "Jerk!"

"Klutz." He countered.

"Rapist!"

"You said that already!"

"So? You used klutz already!"

"No I didn't!"

"…Oh. RAPIST!" I slid down the hill as fast as possible to hear Harvey cursing behind me.
