Chapter 18
I have a blanket around my shoulders a hot chocolate on my lap and two police officers at my side writing down my story. I told them everything since Courtney, Breanne, and I saw Jane and Joshua kissing, till I called the police. They told me Joshua was a criminal wanted for rape. Once they told me I got really scared again but they told me its ok he is going to jail now.
"Jillian!" I look towards my sister running towards me.
"Jane!" I yell throwing the blanket and putting my hot chocolate down and hugging her.
"Your stupid, you are SOO stupid." She whispers in my ear.
"I know." I nod crying again. She pulls out of the hug shakes her head. Shes crying too. We hug again.
"Oh my gosh Jillian!" I hear a very familiar voice. I let go of Jane and run towards my mom.
"Mom I'm so sorry," I say crying even harder. "I'm so sorry." I repeat in a whispered tone.
"Oh sweetie, don't be," She is crying too at this point. "It's not your fault." We pull away. I wipe a tear from my eye.
"I could have been killed."
"But you weren't, gosh Jillian you were so brave."
Then Jane butts in. "Oh ya, mom I'm sorry I dated a creeper."
Then mom shakes her head, "Ya and by the way your grounded." I see Jane start to pout as me and my mom start to hug again. I close my eyes and smile knowing in her arms, I'll be safe.
