"I've been looking at you for quite some time now. Are you alone? Can I buy you a drink?"

I smiled widely at the guy who came over at the bar to buy me a drink. I have been looking at him for quite some time too. He's really cute. Kanina ko pa siya na-spot-an pagpasok ko pa lang ng bar. I told myself that tonight, I will fish out a guy and I will end up dating him, kasi naman, ang tagal ko nang wala sa dating scene. Pabalik – balik ako but I can't seem to get a guy.

"Hello, my name is May Laurence." I smiled at him. I offered him a hand shake. He gave in.

"Jethro. You're very pretty. Do you come here regularly?"

"Ahm no. I just wanted to spend my Friday night alone." Nilandian ko pa ang ngiti ko. Anyway, mukha naman talaga akong malandi ngayon kasi I wore my very special sexy black dress. Iyong malalim iyong neck line at medyo backless. I also had my hair done. Kulay ash gray na ang buhok ko ngayon. I had it cut a little bit shorter.

"Then maybe you're not so alone now. Maybe you can spend it with me."

Nagtitigan kaming dalawa. I smiled.

"Okay.Buy me a drink then." I said to him. Sumenyas siya sa bar tender at saka binigyan kami ng tag-isang whiskey on the rocks. We cheered and I drank from it. I am smiling from ear to ear. Gusto ko iying tingin niya sa akin na para bang ako ang pinakamaganda dito sa bar na ito,

"So, what do you do?" Tanong ko.

"I am a web developer. I've been in this field for a long time now. I own a small company. We develop websites, actually online shops, like O-market, Super Shopping. Have you heard it."

"Oh, that's an exciting job."

"Ikaw what do you do?"

"Let's just say that some people pays me to eat their food and write a review about it. It's just you know small things." I said. Pero hindi naman masyadong small iyon. I have a tv show on a local channel, we air once a week. Ang show ko ay tungkol sa paggala sa iba't – ibang parte ng basan para ipakita sa manonood iyong magagandang destinations sa Pilipinas, I also eat their food too.

Sa madaling salita, like how my sister puts it, binabayaran ako para gumala at kumain on national tv.

"That's why you look so familiar." He said. "Lauren Soria. Lauren's Journey! I knew I have seen you somewhere!" He said. Natawa na lang ako pero na-freeze ang tawnag iyon nang may biglang umakbay sa akin.

"Hey, Baby, I'm sorry I'm really late. Matagal kang naghintay, I see that you found yourself some toy."

My mouth parted after hearing what he had to say.

"Pwede ka nang umalis. Thank you for giving my girl company while I am away. Shoo!"

Biglang parang nawala sa mood si Jethro kaya tumalikod na lang siya. Nang makaalis ang huli ay hinarap ko naman ang demonyong umakbay sa akin. Hinampas ko siya sa balikat.
