Guess Who's Your Partner?

"Ah, finally, my seven days of suspension are over.." You sighed, "How did you even get suspended in the first place?"
"Um.."

*Flashback*

"How dare you, how dare you!?" You yelled at the top of your lungs as you sent lightning at the old midget's direction, he dodged most and got hit by a few. Out of nowhere, Laxus came from behind, wrapping his muscular arms around yours to restrain you..  "You short son of a- I will kill you, I WILL kill you!!"
"(NAME)!" Laxus exclaimed, "calm down, you cannot fight the headmaster!"
"Oh, yes I can-"
"No, you won't! Not on my watch.."
"Let me go! What are you doing here anyway!?"
"Seven days suspension, go home.." Makarov said, Laxus loosened his tight grip upon you and you shook him off..
You walked away, taking your exceed with you..

*End of Flashback*

"If it wasn't for Laxus, I would've beat that old, wrinkly midget to the ground.." You tightly clenched your (skin color)
fists as you gritted your teeth, "How dare he talk about your grandfather like that? Hade's the reason he's the headmaster of that school and Fairy Tail!" (Exceed name) said, "I know, some people just aren't great full.."
"Yeah, come on.. Let's go to school."

🏫At School🏫

You walked through the gates of Fiore High, you were welcomed with stares of surprise and whispers..
"(Name)!" You heard the voice of your friend, Crystalia, "Name, I'm SO sorry you got suspended.."
"Why are you apologizing? It was my idea in the first place.. Anything happened since I was gone?"
"This," she handed you a Fiore High Express school newspaper, "Fiore High's
So Claimed 'Goddess' Was Suspended For Fighting With Headmaster Makarov... Who the hell wrote this?" You asked,
"Levy McGarden.." Crystalia replied, "Why am I not surprised..?" You shook your head, "This was the biggest story for the school year so far.." Crystalia said,
"Like I give a damn," You commented, "School's gonna start in a few minutes, let's go.." (Exceed name) sat on your shoulder, tired of hovering.

🔔Bell Rings🔔

"You have History now, right?" (Exceed name) asked, "Yeah," You and Crystal walked into the classroom lively with chatter, you took your seat next to the window while Crystalia took the seat behind you. "History is the studies of the past so we can help build a better future.." And on the teacher went. After the lesson, you all were given projects to do, "You will be placed in groups of two, but I will give you your partner. Research a historical event or articact with the day, the time, and the year. In your own words, plagiarism will not be tolerated." The history teacher said, "Okay, partners.." He began to write the partners onto the black board.

Evergreen and Crystal

Juvia and Erza
Mirajane and Freed
Elfman and Cana
(Name) and Laxus

Everyone cooed at who you were paired with, "This is not gonna be good.." (Exceed Name) whispered. You glared at Laxus whom was a few desks away from you, he did also.. "Oh my gosh, she already fought with the headmaster, just
imangine-" Lucy whispered, "Oh my god, Lucy, shut the hell up! All you do is frickin' gossip, why don't you say it to my face!?"
"(Name)! Calm down!" The teacher yelled, you sat back down..

*Bell Rings*

The bell rang, signalling break. You sat until all of the students left, there was only one more person other than you remaining in the class, it was Laxus..
"(Name),"
"What do you want?"
"To discuss the project of course, nothing else besides that.."
"I'll do the entire thing, just leave me alone.."
"The last thing I want is to work with a spoiled brat like you and we both have no choice but to cooperate!"
"But I said I'll do the entire thing! You don't have to do a single thing, I'll lie and say you did a couple of things.." With that being said, you left and headed into the library to pick up a few history books. After doing so, you headed to the cafeteria to meet up with Crystal. "Hey, Evergreen.."
You said as you sat at the table, "Hi, (Name)." The fairy replied, "You talked to Laxus about the project?" Evergreen asked, "To stay the hell away from him, I said I'll do it all and tell the teacher he did a couple of things.." You replied,
"You know, Laxus isn't a bad guy. But once you get to know him, he'll be fine.."
"Who wants to get to know that ape?" You scowled,
"(Name), no matter how far you try to distance yourself from him, eventually you both will have to cooperate which 50% will bring you two closer as friends or even more than that.. I never agreed with Elfman, they put us to do multiple subjects and look at us now.. We're really close."
"Like 'Too Close For Comfort' close or-"
"Y- you know what I mean.." The fairy got flustered a bit. Speaking of Laxus, he passed by your table. Your (eye color) pupils followed him until he completely left your sight, your metallic earring sparked up, making Evergreen jump.  "As we was saying, you guys found a historical event or item..?" You continued, "Yeah, we're doing the Silent Killer from the book of E.N.D" Crystal replied, "My grandfather told me about that, I can give you everything I know on it.."
"Really, you'd do that..?" Evergreen asked, "Yeah, it's no big deal anyways.."
"So what are you doing about?"
"The Miraculous Appearance of Tenroe Island.."
"That's a good one. Almost all of us were there, Laxus too. Even though he got kicked out of Fairy Tail.." Evergreen said, "Then what was he doing on that island?"
"He came to pay his respects to the founder of the guild, Mavis Vermilion.. Were you on the island?"
"Yes, I was on the island, that Zeref guy let me live and my grandfather told me about this, Mavis person and Fairy Glitter.."
"I'm really not surprised he did tell you though.."
You three conversed through the entire of lunch time as (Exceed Name) slept in your arms

⚡⚡⚡

There was a meeting for teachers in the Headmaster's office, few teachers stayed back to watch classes since they had nothing to do with the meeting. You talked with Evergreen and Crystal for the ENTIRE afternoon, while your exceed still slept it looks like you made a new friend..

-You got partnered with Laxus to go a project?

-Will what Evergreen said happen; No matter how far you try to distance yourself, eventually you'll have to cooperate which will draw you two closer to be friends or even more?

*Please don't think I hate Levy, I just think she'll be the best writer for the school newspaper.

*I do not hate Lucy either, I just imagine her as the gossip girl..

*I did not partner Lucy or Lizanna with Natsu because that will cause drama between NaLu and NaLi shippers, nor will there be NaLu or NaLi moments in this story all because I don't want drama in my comment section..
