INT. SEABROOK - INT. BREE'S HOUSE - DINING ROOM TABLE - NIGHT TIME

Bree sits alone at the table, eating a lonely dinner. She sighs heavily as she takes a bite of her food. While she's chewing, the front door opens and closes; revealing her mother. Meet SONYA (43), mother of Bree, stuck up, snobbish, but has a heart of gold. Unlike her daughter she has shortened dark hair and hazel colored eyes.

SONYA
Bree what on Earth are you doing up this late? You know we have to go to the old folks home tomorrow.

BREE
(Sighs and looks down)
I know mom.

SONYA
(Looks at the plate of food in front of her)
Are you just now eating?

BREE
(Nods)

SONYA
(Shakes her head)
Where's your father?

BREE
(Shrugs)
I have no idea.

SONYA
That man, I swear. Anyways, what'd you do today?

BREE
Well after I came home from Addison's house, I cleaned, then I took a nap. A typical Saturday night for me. How was work?

SONYA
It was work. Now hurry up and finish your food so you can get in the bed.

BREE
(Nods)

SONYA
(Turns around and walks away)

BREE
Hey, mom!

SONYA
(Stops and turns towards her)
Yes?

BREE
I was just wondering.

SONYA
Okay, wondering what?

BREE
When the Z band was created did anyone try to go and get grandpa?

SONYA
Absolutely not, that monster is dead to this family. He tried to eat your poor grandmother.

BREE
But he held himself back.

SONYA
Doesn't matter, that was betrayal. Why the question, pumpkin?

BREE
(Looks down)
No reason.

SONYA
Is this because the council integrated SeaBrook High?

BREE
What? No. It was just a question, I promise.

SONYA
(Looks her over)

BREE
(Smiles)

SONYA
Mm, okay. Like I said, hurry up with that food.
(Turns around and walks up the stairs)

BREE
(Continues to eat silently)
