CURSED BTS AU ENDINGS PART 1

Start from the beginning

You wiped your brow, satisfied with your days job but smearing paint across your forehead at the same time. It had been 6 months since... him. The nights were still lonely as your heart ached for the boy that used to consume your mind. You still thought about him every day, but you were beginning to realize that you had to move on with your life. Time couldn't stop forever because of Jungkook.

Sometimes as you walked down the street, you would see someone that slightly resembled him from behind. You would lay a hand on the stranger's shoulder only to be met with an unrecognizable face when he turned around. You always had to apologize and claim that you thought he was someone else, bowing awkwardly, your heart falling.

Everyday after school, with permission from the city, you had been painting a mural on a public wall. It resembled the one you and Jungkook had been creating together before he... well, you didn't know what had happened to him. Before, you had thought he wasn't even real, but now, you were positive of something. You didn't know how, but you were sure that the boy who held your heart was real, because what you felt was too real for him to not be. The warmth of his arms wrapped around you, the color that arose to his cheeks when you flustered him, his cute laugh, the feel of his lips... How could all of that be fake?

But you didn't know how to find him. Jeon Jungkook had disappeared once more, but this time instead of from life, from you. And so without telling your friends and family who you knew would think of you as crazy, you continued to work on the mural you and Jungkook had started, hoping that it would bring you closer.

You looked at the mural. It was looking better and better everyday, although you were nowhere near as good as the boy from your dreams. You wished he were there with you, laughing and smearing paint on your nose, stealing kisses as you blushed and shook your fists at him in irritation but admittedly finding his actions comedic and adorable as well.

"Did you paint this?" A voice suddenly asked, pulling you out of your thoughts. You looked to your right to see a guy in a hoodie, his face hidden as he admired your work.

"Yes and no," you answered cautiously, "It was inspired by a friend." You were weary of the stranger and hid your own face under your hat in embarrassment.

"Ah. I see." he walked forwards and pointed to a blank section. "You should paint a river right here, it would really compliment the sun."

Tears started to drip down your face at his words as it brought back memories of Jungkook. He heard you giving soft gasps and turned around.

"Are you alright? Why are you crying?" He asked in worry, then paused before asking, "Is this mural a memorial for a lost loved one?"

You brushed the tears off your cheeks quickly in embarrassment.

"I'm sorry. No, no one died, if someone was dead then they would no longer be real, and he was definitely real. He is lost though, and I don't know how to find him."

You smiled at the stranger, feeling sorry to have burdened him.

"You're actually the first person I've ever told about this. I'm sorry again that you had to witness that, and thank you for your insight, I will definitely take it to heart."

You stopped and kneeled down to pick up the paint and used brushes, thinking that the stranger would continue on his way.

"(Y/N), let me help you," The hooded guy murmured, kneeling beside you to pick up a bucket of paint.

You turned towards him to come face to face with a face you figured could only come from dreams.

"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to call you (Y/N), it's just that you remind me of-" He dropped the paint he had been picking up as he got a clear view of your face.
