The Good Girl in Disguise

Start from the beginning

I didn't have my cell phone to call a taxi, it probably fell from the crash or from my rather dramatic run. Karma is certainly a female dog. Plus, it's not like I believe in that. I had bigger worries, like how I was going to get home, it's not like anyone will notice my disappearance since I pretty much live alone.

I'll probably rot here alone or maybe a psychopath will come and cut every part of my body and send it to my parents because let's face it, my parents are big competition to the business world and a threat to many, but what the killer seems to not know is that my parents won't mind me dead since I always was a burden to them.

I sighed dejectedly and sat on the wet grass and gazed at the sky which shined to it brightest.
The moon was so white.

I was unable to keep my eyes open for long as the darkness greeted me and I fell into a deep slumber.

-Flashback-

He glowered at me his glance was filled with distaste and it made me wonder what I did to deserve that look from my own blood.

It always was my main goal to make them proud and happy, but no matter what I did it seemed pointless at that point. That day was when I realized that the only person that you can trust is yourself , but I wasn't able to do that. If everyone keeps pushing me away then the only explanation is that something is wrong with me.

He marched down to me and slapped me, hard. It took me a while to actually comprehend what happened. I couldn't hold in the traitorous tear. Getting hit really lowers your self-esteem especially when your own father is the one who raised his hand at you.

My relatives looked at the scene, but no one came to my help, some even sniggered. I lowered my gaze on the floor.

'If your own blood won't fight for you... care for you... who will?' I thought to myself.

He then pushed me on the wall abruptly and my head crashed into it and the pain was so unbearable that I let a sob out.

"You're a curse of a child. You ruined our lives" he roared as he strangled me and I couldn't breathe. Suddenly he threw me on the ground and I gasped out seeking for air, by then I was seeing dots and the sound of glasses breaking was the last thing I remembered as I drifted into the darkness.

I was awake or so I thought, but I wasn't breathing and for a second, I wondered if I was dead. I heard the harsh whispers that surrounded me, but my eyes were shut close. I let out a loud breath as I remembered my past.

I carefully fluttered my eyes open to be blinded by the sunlight which I couldn't help but flinch at.

I peered at the gaze of a forming crowd looking at me curiously that's when all the events of yesterday came back.

I couldn't help but grin sheepishly at them.

"Hi." I croaked out.

"Mom the dead girl is alive." Screamed a boy  that looked around ten. He seemed terrified as he was hiding behind his mother's leg.
