Burning Heart

Natsu's POV

Lucy and I are just sitting at the sea side. We were silent since we got here. I lay down my back and watch the sparkling stars above the night sky. Lucy noticed that I lied down and she also did the same. She hugged me tightly and I hugged her back. Even if she is now my fiancée my heart is still beating fast when she is close to me. I couldn't help but to blush because she might hear this heart stomping really loud.

"Natsu." she said breaking the silent situation

"hmmm." I hummed as a response

"Did you know that one of that stars that we are looking right now, is already dead?"

"Really!? I didn't know." I said and I was wondering why did she asked that question

"You know that the light of a star travelled light years to reach the Earth. That star maybe dead by now, the light that we are seeing right now might be the light that travelled through time to reach our night sky." She said and she pointed the red star at the north " and that is really sad" she added by a sad look on her face

"why?" I asked with a worried face

"Because everyone still believes that you still exist because they believe in your light. Your light is not fading even if your are already dead because you are far away from them. They didn't even know that you died because everyone is watching you from afar not knowing your real situation." I really don't have any idea what Lucy is saying now I think she is just using those words to describe something she wants to say. I sit down and confronted her.

"What are you saying Lucy." I said really confused about the situation she is saying

"Nothing specifically. Those words just came in to me." She said with a smile

"o-okay." I replied but I think behind those words she wants to say something but she just don't have the guts to say

"I was just happy that you want to marry me and I am happy because I want to stay by your side forever. I don't want to be that star that died without you knowing because I am far away from you." Just as I thought, she has something on her mind.

"Do you have something you want to tell me Lucy?" I finally asked her about it because keeping it won't help her

"It's just that I am going to be married but I want to tell it to my parents but they both live now behind those clouds in the sky. I just want Mama to know that I am the Luckiest girl in the world because I have the best man in the world. You know they used to call me Lucky Lucy and I think that is true now because I don't believe it that time." I just remained quiet because I don't want Lucy to be interrupted when she is telling her story "Remember the time when I went to my Father's grave? He is like that star. We are frozen for a long time in the Fairy Sphere of Master Mavis. And I just don't have the idea that many years have passed and by the time I came back he is dead. I really hate my Father when I was a kid because he didn't even care for me. But when I read his last letter for me all the tears that I have, fall off my eyes and knew that I was loved by him. I still saw the light of my Mother and Father when I look at the night sky. I knew that they are always watching me and I am sure that they are happy for us." I smiled at her and kiss her forehead

"Lucy look at this." I said and smiled at her. I light up my hand with my fire.

"This right hand lights up your name 'Lucy'." I wrote her name by my fire through my fingers

"Now, this left hand lights up my name 'Natsu'. " I also wrote the letters of my name into my left fingers

"Okay." she said staring carefully at my hands

"This is our light. When I combined these two lights it creates..."

"A heart a burning heart!!" She yelled and I think she is now cheered up. I put my hands together to combined the fires with my both hands and it formed a heart I intended to do that of course to make the mood different from sadness to happiness

"You see!!!" I said and give her a big smile

"You are my light and I am your light. As long as we are together this light will never fade away." I released my magic and hugged her.

"Natsu." I released my arms from her and look at her beautiful eyes

"Did you bring the gift that I gave you?" she said. Speaking of which I have it on my coat all along and before Gray and I performed I stared at it the whole time.

"Yes I have it." I get it from my coat and show it to her

"You can open it now as promised." I opened the box and saw a wrist band like what I've always wear. I took it out of the box and I saw words embedded on it. It says "NaLu forever" as I read those words I think I blushed a bit.

"NaLu means Natsu and Lucy." she said with a very beautiful smile on her face

"I also have mine see?" she took her wristband from her pocket on her mini shorts under her grass skirt. ( Lucy is still wearing her costume by the way. ^_^)

"Now we have a matching pair." she is now putting it on her right hand where her guild mark is on I also put mine on but not the usual position my wristband is, I placed it now to my right wrist where also my guild mark on my right shoulder is.

"I am never going to take it off." I said and hugged her again

"hehehe so you like it?"

"I don't like it...I love it!!!!"

"I glad you love it. ^_^"

I just stared at her for a moment. I just notice that her brown eyes really sparkle like the stars in the night sky. Her hair was really shinny as the water flowing at the sea that is reflected by the moon light. And her lips are so beautiful and I love the colour of it is like the colour of my hair. I noticed that she blushed a bit.

"What is it? Why are you staring at me like that?!" she yelled while holding her wrist band

I leaned at her face about an inch away. And I said the words that make her face red as Erza's hair.

"Because you're the most wonderful girl that ever come in my life and I can't afford to lose you.” The moment I said those words I suddenly kissed her on her lips. It is so soft as a marshmallow and it tasted like cherry. I think that she was surprised at what I just do and I touch her face deepening the kiss. I felt that she closed her eyes that grew wide cause of being surprised and she also returned my kiss. We share a passionate kiss together under the starry night sky and the moonlight. She really is my light.
