Riley's P.O.V

The bell rang and everyone bursts out leaving Jennifer and I alone

"Soo" Jenny looks at me

"Yeah, you say "

"Wanna come sit with me ?"

"Sure"

.....

We grab our food that looks way better than the school food I'm used to

And walk to a green table

Jennifer places her tray down and motions me to do the same , making everyone that is sitting there to look at me

"Hey" I shyly smile

And everyone stays silent

Until Justin stands up and grabs my hand

"Everyone , this is Riley Matthews"

They wave and smile

A dark haired girl stands up and shakes my hand

"I'm Hanna Zhang "

I smile and sit between Jennifer and Hanna

"I'm Tristan " A blonde girl smiles looking at him and continues

"And I'm Sadie" They are holding hands so I'm assuming they're in a relationship
But hey better not to assume , everyone thought Maya and I were dating during middle school just because we held hands

"Gregory" A red head boy smiles

And I smile back

"Now you met my friends" Jennifer looks at me

"Not so fast " A short boy runs to the table

Jennifer giggles

"Oh and that's Richie"

"Hey, I can speak for myself " He reaches for my hand

I let a small laugh

"I'm Richie Flores "

"Hey, I'm Riley Matthews , nice to meet you ..All"  I finish turning around to look at everyone

"My pleasure" Justin winks

"Ours" everyone says in unison

"But there's still two people I want you to meet tomorrow"

"Okay" I grin

"Now Riley , I'm sorry if this sounds like I'm a gossip predator, but do you have a boyfriend back in New York" Hanna asks

I laugh

"Its ok.. I don't know "

The all eyed me

Justin with an unknown expression

Yeah I told him I was single, I thought it was easier than to explain the whole mess
But I guess if I'm going to be stuck (not in a bad way) with these people I might just tell them part of my life SKIPPING the in love with my best friend .

"Tell me more " Hanna puts on her glasses

"You don't need glasses to hear" I laugh

"I'm trying to look cool and discrete"

"Sure" I chuckle

And I'm back to serious again

"I did have a boyfriend but we broke up because I moved , I don't know if we will get back together once I move to back" I sigh

"Mm.. Seems like the new girl is more interesting than all of us" Richie nods

Richie?

"Richie, I thought you weren't even here" Sadie laughs

"Okay, listen, just because I'm not in your age category doesn't mean I'm not important "

"Did you skip grades?" I turn to look at him

"Yeah"

"How cool..Farkle would never do that"

Farkle was a genius he would be out of college by now ,but he wanted to be with us, with his friends

"What?"

"Nothing , I was just thinking about New York"

They seem to brush it off

"Oh, so tell us about your fri-"

The bell cuts Hanna off
